Ruffles Chips
I love potato chips, and Ruffles along with Cape Cod, are my favorites. One thing I like about Ruffles is that they come out with new flavors pretty often. There are very few times that I don't like them. Last week when I went grocery shopping, I bought a new flavor of theirs. It was Lime and Jalapeņo. Well, I thought they were terrible! Who else has tried them, and what did you think?
My favorite flavor of Ruffles is "Cheddar and Sour Cream". So, what are your favorite chips?

For me.
Old dutch "dutch crunch", smooth flavor and extra crunch, also like the philly dips.

We picked up the variety pack for the road trip to NYC, and yeah the L and J were disgusting.

The original Ruffles is my chip of choice. I buy a bag at Costco about once a month. If I want to spruce them up, I dip them in either ranch or tartar sauce.

I like the plain ruffles only if I’m having dip. No fake flavor powder stuff on my chips, please. Chips should be flavored with only 1 thing...salt.
No dip? No problem...Lays.

Potato chips are nice and I do eat them, especially the dinners that fry them up just before serving.
But my passion is Blue Corn Chips. My flavorite variety is Garden of Eaten's Red Hot Blues! They are dusted with Cayenne pepper. (They make wonderful nachos too!)

Not a fan of any flavoring that not only sticks to my fingers but covers the taste I crave when eating chips . . . grease.

I'm rather partial to salt and vinegar potato chips. For my favorites, it'd probably be a tie between Kettle and Miss Vickie's.

Currently my wife and I love these. They are sold at Aldi and only $1.29/bag. Can't explain the taste but it is really unique and in some strange way they actually do taste like you're eating a Cuban sandwich.

Yup - I am a chip lover myself - however during this Pandemic I've been eating too many of them! Gotta cut back!
For taste - I like the Herr's Dark Russet Kettle Chips but they are too small for dipping.
For dipping - I like the Ruffles because they are larger and stronger so they won't crumble.
I also love the Multi-grain Chips form Costco - all around they are great.

My favourite (sic - Aust spelling) is Smiths Thins Sour Cream and Onion.
i
Smiths Chips are now owned by Pepsi-co which I believe your Ruffles are also owned by. We actually had Ruffles here in Australian Supermarkets at one stage but not anymore.

When I lived in Indiana back in the mid 60's there was a brand called Seyferts that were pretty good. Lay's as I recall weren't nationwide then. Since I am back in N.C. it's Lay's regular for me and occasionally I wil get the urge for salt and vinegar by Snyders. The only place I can find those are in the snack bags at Dollar General. Occasionally I like Fritos.

Anybody here remember "O'Grady's" chips. I think they were a Frito-Lays product from the '80's. Their Au Gratin flavor was superb, and the regular wasn't bad either! They were basically extra thick Ruffles. I thought that they were pretty popular, but apparently not.

If you can - get ZAP's. Absolutely the best flavors ever. The company was bought out by Utz, but so far they are still made in Louisiana and no changes to the product.
My favorite flavor is VOODOO, a combination of vinegar, sweet, salty, onion and cajun spices. Also CAJUN CRAWTATOR - a little spicer.

Try ZAPP’S spicy Cajun crawtator chips. Flavorful, hot but not stupid hot.
Old Vienna, St. Louis style red hot riplets.
Years ago old Vienna offered steak and onion flavor. They were wonderful!

I like plain Ruffles, but my favorite potato chips are the Jalapeno chips - either Lays Kettle or Miss Vickie's. They are the same chips just sold in different packages.
For salsa I like plain corn tortilla chips without salt. Most all the packaged ones are salted.

When I was a youngster, many years ago, that was camping food.
Open a bag of Fritos, several spoon fulls of chili, and (if getting fancy) sprinkle on shredded cheese.
We called them "Hay stacks"
Still have that, once in a while.
Darn good eats!!

Any type of good chip is fine for me but I also prefer pork rinds, with a beer when possible.

Potato chips are good, but in the memory section of my diet. I remember large cans (almost barrels) of Husman's potato chips in Cincinnati at family gatherings. My mother was the oldest of 11 and I have 40 first cousins on my mother's side alone. We could consume a few potato chips.

" Haystacks" (or, Frito Pie) are disgusting and a ruin of good chili!
My favorite are Ruffles with dip. Store brand salt and vinegar for plain. Absolutely plain: Lays. Lays BBQ once in a while. Kettle brand may be substituted if need be.
None compare with home-made with malted vinegar and sea salt=either chips or fires (round or steak fries).
