There is a small heard, between four and six. They take their sweet time moseying across the lawn, eating the shrubs and flowers along their way, but are still pretty camera shy.

YOu can see from the picture quality, that this was taken not only through glass but screen as well. The daughter actually took it, and if we'd have opened the door, they'd be long gone.

Wrong angle, and it's likely to upset the local citizenry, 'specially this time of year !

Especially when it runs only 50 yards, through the neighbors picture window!

It's the third one this week. The rednecks down the street keep shooting them from the truck.

Judging by the thread title, I thought the problem was a pack of canine squatters on the lawn...

Yes, the little devils are like that here too sometimes. Had three in the next door neighbor's yard last year. A couple of years ago my wife's cousin went down to his open barn/shed and almost got run over by a doe who had taken to sleeping in the hay there. Scared the **** out of both of them!!!!

One of the best songs ever written about LSD.
Wonderous apparations,
Provided by Magicians,
Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door.

"There's a giant doin' cartwheels,
A statue wearin' high heels,
Look at all the happy creatures,
Dancin' on the lawn."
Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door.
Dang, I feel old!

I might be wrong but I think, ''Ray a drop of golden sun.'' Comes before " Me a name I call myself.'' Whose has the next line?

You're right Marshall, but it's "Re", not "Ray" and I did that one way back on the first page...(I actually thought I would start a duet with BarbC but she never showed up and I ain't gonna sing with Rikkn & truckemup. )

And all this time I thought it was about heroin:

Love it. I have a good amount of acreage in north east PA... The one morning a few years back I counted 15 in my front yard. I sat there for half an hour just watching them out of my picture window. If I hunted, I'd never have to leave my house
The herd has been a lot smaller the past few years though. Lately I'll only catch half a dozen or so.
We've still got plenty of other critters to enjoy though. I've never seen one here alive but we've got Mountain Lions. The game commission denies their existence, but my father and I saw them loading a dead one into a truck that had been hit in the road. I've also seen pictures of one in a friends back yard.... but they still deny we have them here... odd.
But that's a whole other post...
