Default San Antonio is getting WILD!

Two days, two police involved shootings.

Yesterday - active shooter at our airport - shooter is DOA - SAPD knew of him from before - looks like 5150

Today - Traffic stop goes badly, perps shoot our guy in the hand, our guy flatlines TWO and wounds one (female wounded). Officer did an amazing job with being shot in the hand and having weapon malfunction.

Details in the news if you want to google it.

People are being given the impression they can do what they want to with the cops. A lot of them are finding out the hard way that isn't necessarily so.

Default The pissoff is......

This is happening day in and day out, but the braindead media never brings it out, but let some ex-con, let some young person (who was the best thing in my life) have their life ended because THEY made a bad decision, ooohhhh the LE establishment is taken apart, stoopidity at it's highest.

Our down the road neighbor was on the phone with her husband when the airport shooting started. From her fb post:

“Today was one of the scariest days of my life. I was on the phone with XXXXXX when I could hear a loud popping in the background followed by stuff falling and then silence. XXXXXXX finally got back on the phone and said “I’ll call you back. I love you.”.. the tone of his voice told me not to ask questions. I told him I loved him and hung up the phone. A while later my phone rang and it was XXXXXXX. He explained to me that there was an active shooter at the San Antonio International Airport.. I was speechless and shocked, but oh so thankful God was watching over XXXXXXX and many others at the airport.”

His post:

“I have been in some sketchy situation over my life, but today defiantly takes the #1 spot. Today trying to catch a flight at the San Antonio International Airport there was an active shooter. It was a rough and quite honestly a scary situation. To hear gunshot and see hundreds of people scrambling to go somewhere, is unnerving.
I also want to give a huge shout out to the San Antonio Police Department, that officer threw himself in front and protect hundreds of lives today. Back the Blue because they back you, REGARDLESS!
Delta Air Lines thank you for making the rest of the afternoon uneventful. My wife would probably have become unhinged if I didn’t get back after today’s event.“

They are neighbors, and in the cattle ranching business.

Somehow, somewhere (MSM?) people have gotten the idea it’s OK to resist arrest, and they do not have to comply w/an officer’s orders.

Unhappy

Bexar County's/San Antonio's covid restrictions are starting to get on people's nerves and make the crazies even crazier. Our incidence of crazy and insane drivers seems to have also gone up.

With all the craziness, we haven't seen much of the BLM crowd despite TWO shootings.....I guess that these folks don't fit the narrative (or the reception that they would garner here would sting a bit )

My thoughts and prayers go out for our police, firemen, nurses in the front lines. It’s turning into the old west. I was telling the misses I’d like to get her a bullet proof vest.

Can you have a gun in the airport in Texas?

You used to could in Florida - not in the secure area but out in the waiting area. I carried in the airport all the time. Then they changed the law. And now you can't.

So when I read this first post about a shooting at the airport, I thought, "well certainly. If you going to go and shoot people you need to do it in a place where guns are not allowed, so there will be less chance of someone shooting back".

But different states have different rules on this. In Texas is it legal to have a gun in the non-secure area of the airport?

Anti gun people haven't figured that out but the crazy mass shooters have figured it out. Does that show that crazy mass shooters are smarter than anti gun people? Larry

And yet Texas has just approved Constitutional Carry, where anyone can carry.

Law breakers never worried about the law, that is why they are called bandits.
Sadly in to days social environment many people appear to believe that they can do what they want, and the hell with following the current social morays.
So it works out to the following. Do dumb things and often get unpleasant responses.
What was line in the old them song? "If you can't do the time don't do the crime."

One may say that because gun control is hot on the docket, we may see more shootings... Is it coincidence? Maybe... Maybe not...

Why is it sad that Americans can FREELY exercise their god given rights of self defense without asking permission from and then having to pay for the right from their daddy government?

Happened in a Minneapolis suburb yesterday. Guy driving stolen car/plates. Tried to outrun cops and then tried to outshoot them. He didnt succeed in either. Funeral to follow for the bad guy. Cops un injured. Happy ending.

having a VERY low population of gangbangers in those states helps out also on the VERY low gun violence ,
