Any Idea what kind of spider this is. I really hate spiders but this one looked kind of cool. It was in an old rest room at an old camp ground where we we ride 4 wheelers in NC Lake Houser. About 2 to 2.5 inches tip to tip on legs.

I told myself not to open this thread, but I had to look.
It's called a "why don't you open this thread and get creeped out again" spider. Smash it!
Can you tell I hate spiders?
Not sure what kind it is, sorry.

Googled Wolf Spider and run across this.
NURSERY-WEB & FISHING SPIDER FACTS
Some fishing spiders will partially submerge themselves underwater for brief periods of time to catch aquatic prey.
Although nursery-web and fishing spiders resemble tarantulas, they are not closely related. Nursery-web and fishing spiders are closely related to wolf spiders.

I'm fairly sure that's a sabre toothed moose grabber and anything in the .450 to .600 nitro line ought to be sufficient. (But be prepared for a quick reload )

The really neat thing about mamma wolf spiders is they carry their young around on their back.
So, if it looks like it has a bumpy or strange looking rear portion, you probably shouldn't stomp it, those little tiny spiders go everywhere!
Just shoo it outside and let it do what it's supposed to, eat insects.
It will look something like this, see all those little babies.

I've always called them wolf spiders too, but I don't know if that is correct. In the summer around here you can find them all over the outside walls of buildings in the early morning. You can see their eyes at night too with a flashlight. Every once in a while one will manage to get inside the house. Soon after, the bug bombs start going off. They can do their thing outside, but they need to stay the heck out of my house. They're strong too. I poked at one with a twig once until it clamped down on the end. I could actually feel it pulling the twig with quite a bit of force.

Had one get in my gym shoe one time. It bit me several times before I figured out something was wrong. My middle toe swelled up like a light bulb. I took its remains to the ER with me. I asked the Doc "What kind is it"? He says "I dunno. I'd call it a big *** spider". The ER's concern was an allergic reaction or the skin on my toe splitting open.
A tetnus shot and a load of Benedryl and I was sent home. I did lose my toenail on that toe.

I concur. They look like small tarantulas, but are just large house and garden spiders. Eat all the other little bugs, so I don't mind them. (When you move stuff around in the basement, though, even the dead ones look a little scary!)
