| | I ran across some inexpensive adapters to shot .32acp in .303,.308 or 30-06.(Different adapter for each caliber. Anyone have any experience with these or thoughts about shooting a .32acp through any of the above barrels.
Thanks |

| | I had one in 303 British chambered for 32acp/ Made by the Marbles Co. that made gunsights also. Worked OK,,whats not to work! Accuracy was about 3" at 25yrds with most any ammo I ever tried in it. A novelty that soon became more of a PITA to load and reload.
They were made in alot of different caliber combinations. I think the 32acp also was chambered in 8mm Mauser & 303 Savage. Probably others too. The 32acp seems to work fine through a .308dia 30cal Bbl.
Winchester used to sell them with their name on them too but they were probably made by Marbles or someone else.
Seems like another company made/marketed these little adaptors back in the day but I can't recall the name. I think they're still made by a company or two. They never seem to quite go out of style completely.
Some of the old ones suffer from a split neck. Just old age or maybe newer higher pressure ammo used in them, I don't know.
There were larger cal adaptors using 38pistol rounds in 35cal rifle chamberings, 45Colt in 45-70, etc. |

| | I bought some in 303 British, 7.5 French, 7.62 Russian, 8MM Mauser, 308, 30/06. Allowed to get the feel of some of my rifles on an indoor range-gallery shooting, to use and old term. |

| | That's a good point. Also to allow some younger shooters a try at using a full size center fire rifle w/o being knocked around.
The indoor range I belong to here doesn't allow any centerfire rifles at all sadly, not even in a pistol caliber. Rules are rules, I guess.
Sounds like a nice collection of adaptors. If you have more time and patience than I ever did when I had mine, no doubt you can find the right combination for decent accuracy. They were popular with big game hunters at one time for use in gathering small game for camp meat. |

| | I've got one in .30-06 that I've used a dozen or so times to fire .32 ACP rounds out of my M1903 Springfield. Seems to work just fine and it's a little more accurate than shooting .32 ACP from a .32 ACP handgun.

| | MCA Sports in Anchorage, Alaska makes a wide variety of chamber adapters, or so says their website: http://www.mcace.com/adapters.htm
If you're itching to shoot .30 Luger ammo through your .308, apparently they can fix you up. Also .32 ACP, .30 Carbine and a bunch of others.
If anyone here has actually ordered anything from this company, I'd like to hear about it. |
