Hope everyone spent some money on new guns to display!! If not there is still time.

Here is the date for Fall 2021. Mark *Saturday October 2 from 8/9am to 3 pm* on the calendar. Have 2 months to go. This ended up on the same weekend as the SWCA symposium in Tulsa. The gun club we meet at is North Olmsted Sportsman club, 5743 Bradley rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.

Directions, take the Stearns-Crocker exit off I-480 and go north. The first red light is Lorain rd, turn left. Go ABOUT a mile to Barton rd, turn right. The first stop sign is Bradley rd, turn right. The club is about 100 yards on the right. Tan building with a big gravel parking lot and a trap field.

Admission is 5.00 and Bring a “plate of food to share”, enough fo 10-15 people. Be creative so we eat good food like we always do. I provide all the plates, bowls, napkins, toothpicks and plastic ware. Full kitchen cooking facility is available, oven, grittle, microwave and stove. Bring a friend if he likes S&W’s to share a ride. ***We need more main dishes and sides ***

Bring your favorite S&W’s to display. Guns, boxes and accessories can be brought to sell but not a **WHOLE TABLE FULL of GUNS**. This is not a gun show. Limit the guns you want to sell to 4. There are 20 8 ft tables available, first come first serve. If needed, we can crunch together. *BRING a COMFORTABLE lawn chair for sitting*, the club chairs are hard plastic.

Security, while *talking* watch what is going on, if someone picks something up make sure he doesn’t walk out the door with it. Let me know and I will confront him. Nothing has been stolen in 11 years. *Concealed carry* is allowed but KEEP the gun ***in its holster***. There is a unloading board on the wall if you need to unload it to show someone your gun. Don’t unload by your table, ITS UNSAFE. CLUB RULE

HOTELS, at exit 6a & 6b off of I-480, there are a bunch of hotels. This is one exit from where we meet, not real far. There are plenty of restaurants here also. You will have to choose your own place, this is a *safe area* to stay.

Hope we get some new members, 2 months away but will go fast. If things change before the meeting, Bring a mask to wear. If any questions ask them here so everyone can see the answer. Larry

Penny and I may possible make it to the meet, and if we do, the usual cheese plate will be brought as that always seems to be popular. We finally move into our home on August 10th and should be settled by then.
Only new guns I have are Colt SAA's or the SA clones. No new Smiths to show off.

Oldman10mm, do you have some large Hostas? We need a few. Thanks. Also have plant containers for you too.

Finally got the DVD problem overcome, be able to play pics from the last 11 bunches on the wall big screen TV, 374 pictures, 1 hour 2 minutes in length.

Most of the hostas from those two batches are large, some very large. hostas in pots don't grow as fast and large as those that are naturalized. What seems/seemed small now will be up to your expectation a couple years from now. Two of the varieties get very large and the 'blueish' one gets huge (2 1/2 ft high & 3-4 ft wide). I've had similar remarks about past hostas given away, they're so small, then years later, they're too big.

Bob and I are planning to attend. I started a new job July 5th, but requested a personal day since I work Saturdays now.

My circumstances have changed regarding the S&W Symposium so I will plan on attending the "Bunch" with my son-in-law again...we are both looking forward to it...I will bring my usual venison sloppy joes...will be nice to see everyone again...Roger

To the top for 'exposure'. I find it odd/curious/strange/disappointing that with so many forum members located here in NE Ohio that a few more don't respond OR is it a good thing that too many don't respond to attend so that the event wouldn't become overwhelming ?

Let me know if you got the email about the Bunch, I know Denny got it. Actually we have never been overwhelmed, never had to squeeze closer on the tables to accommodate too many people. I know we had over 60 people at least once but some were walkers. Larry

Shucks Kevin, we need to see some of the .45 acp revolvers you bought. Great place to show off what you have been buying. What did Andy do to 25-2 he has done for you?? Actually going back out to Andy next Tuesday to give him a custom 3” full lug to blue after bead blasting. Finally that project will be done. Was just there to pick up the 4” PPC he made, should have taken the other gun with me to reblue, below is the 4” PPC. Larry

Looking/listing over my stuff to bring, 41cal components & ammo (since I sold the M57 at the last bunch),plastic cartridge cases (I have too many), and some firearms. Nothing new to display.

Thanks Larry, I wish I could sneak out but we recently moved to Hartsgrove (Ashtabula County). Still settling in and making it ours. Heck, I haven’t picked up the Model 25-2 yet. The 455 New Century is still a 455 but I am planning to rework it to 45 S&W Special. The two 1950s (Target and Military) are sweet! Maybe in the spring.

Or maybe I can sneak by for a bit.

I used to be, from about the mid 70s' to about 2010. It is in my plans to rejoin.

Hopefully after the summer winds down (after Labor Day), the 'regulars' will start posting in.

Must be nice to travel 2 miles to a club, crooked creek has a lot of different shoots to attend, they are very active club. Heck we could all stay Kevin’s house and go every day, (lol) Larry

Good reply Kevin, with 10 of us in the shed we should be warm all night. What’s everyone bringing for sale? Or display? Just gave a gun to Andy Horvath to reblue and hopefully get it back by October 2nd. It’s a K frame in .327 with a 3” Full Lug Barrel. Will finally be done, Larry

Berea gun show this weekend.

Will be there in the morning, selling some .223 ammo and a Mossberg 46M. Anyone else going? Larry

I was there this morning...saw Larry, Richard, Gary and Marty from the "Bunch"...lots and lots of S&W's, but extremely overpriced in my opinion...left about 10:30AM as could not stand the heat and humidity...very disappointing in that there was lots of "flea market" junk...lots of ammo but did not witness any being sold...BRING ON THE "BUNCH"...NO junk there!

Denny it was a comfortable drive for Roger, his Mercedes is excellent on long rides!!! I have about 1000 rounds of .223 to sell, too many for a bolt action. Will keep a couple hundred. I didn’t walk the show, stood in the shade with a breeze by one building with the ammo out waiting to sell. Saw boxes of ammo being carried out of buildings that people bought so someone was cashing in. Saw a few deals being made so money was changing hands. Witnessed the old guy get hit by one of the fair ground workers when he backed up fast into him with a golf cart. Hit his head pretty hard so he went to the hospital. Larry

The symposium isn’t gonna work out for me, I’ve known this for some time now. I have a few military obligations coming up and waiting for the finalized details. So, I can’t commit to the bunch yet. But I’ll be there if Uncle Sam allows me!

I’m looking forward to it as usual. I need to make time for a few Gun shows. Hell…….I just need to make more time! Any of you “seasoned / more experienced” folks have any advice for doing so? 😜

What the heck, a late reply is better then none. Hope it works out for you to make it. How did you pick the name “TheMule”. Hard working or stubborn?? It seems like you’re always working. All I can say about the “make time” subject is glad I didn’t work weekends, it helped. Larry

Well Mr Larry,

I do work hard (4 jobs technically. 1 full time, 1 about 10-40 hrs a week and the other 2 are friends and family, about 10 hrs each a week) and I am stubborn. I named my Lab “Mule” after my favorite band Government Mule. If you like the blues, jazz and “southern rock” check em out. It was a combination of things.

I gained about 60 hours a week when I retired on December 31, 2015 at 3:30 PM (but who's counting).

Didn't make the Berea show, because of the heat/humidity as I'm prone to heat sickness/illness (not to be confused with heat stroke). Next Berea show isn't until after 2 weeks after the 'bunch'. But the Akron show, that I always attend, is 1 week before the 'bunch'. Also OGCA is in 2 weeks.

It looks like I will be able to attend. My original plans to go to the Symposium are looking pretty grim. It will be the first I have missed since joining the SWCA. The rising Covid 19 situation in Tulsa and the extreme southern states is simply too much of a risk for me currently. My heart condition has not improved, and if anything, has worsened slightly.

I am planning to bring my collection of 44 Magnum snubs to display. A fellow Bunch and SWCA member (Martin P) contacted me regarding a particular model he was interested in. I think I have some information that will interest him.

Somehow missed your post yesterday Bob but glad you will come. We were at the Geauga county fair and tired after, too much excitement for one day. Always enjoy seeing your guns and the amazing Culina grips. Will your brother be with you also? Looks like a great meeting is just around the corner. The 50th symposium would be a great thing to attend, a cool milestone for Collectors. Darn, Keith Brown will probably be in Tulsa also. Been waiting on a set of grips for a while. Larry
