What's one worth? I know, it's not a Smith, but I may branch my pistol ownership to other brands. Buddy has one of these, all black finish, flawless with just over the required 200 round break in. It's complete with box, papers, and extra magazine. He wants $400.00 for it, and doesn't seem willing to budge. Any idea if this is too high, or any pros and cons about these guns in general?

If the trigger is as smooth as the one on my MK9 I would jump on it in a heartbeat. I paid about that much for mine wiht night sites almost ten years ago.
I've worn some of the finish off and the sights are a little dim now but I've carried it in my pocket almost daily the entire time I've owned it.

Gunbroker has one for auction right now and the current bid is $380. So $400 isn't far off.

My wife has had two Kahrs, the original K9 and then a polymer (PK9, PM9, or something...) They seem like pretty good guns; simple and sturdily built.
If there's one on GunBroker for $380, then $400 for one in person is great- better to pay a small premium to see it and check it up front.

My local shop has a new one for $329, but that may be unusual.

Unusual? Well I guess anytime somebody sells a gun for hundreds less than they paid for it new, you might call that unusual.

I picked one up last year. Really like it, good solid feel and the trigger works fine for me. E9 is the "econo" version of the K9..less $$ and it certainly works for me.
Going to have a friend do a dovetail for the front sights and add night sights. Good carry piece. I'm sure you will like yours....if...you buy it!

Well, I pretty much told him I'd take it. Already owe him some for another gun I got from him. Told him I guess I'd just owe him for the rest of my natural life. But, we're pretty good friends and have traded on the "dollar down, dollar a week" program a few times in the past, and it sure as hell is easier than coughing up four bills all at once. His has two mags and was one of the originals made back in '97 or so. Has a low digit serial number. Another caliber to shoot. Is 9mm been as tough to get and expensive as .38/.357?
