75°F here in Vegas today, setting a new record. I killed a scorpion in the back yard as soon as it got dark. Don't they know that they are only allowed to move around in Tuscon after Veterans' Day?
Weather guy gave the summary for November.
No rain. None, zip, nada.
28 days out of 30 the temperature was above normal.
The average temperature for the whole month was 6.2°F above normal, setting a new record.

No kidding, either that or La Nina. Look up Storm Arwen that just went through the North of England.

Put a fork in winter boys, it will be 70 degrees here today in the burbs of Philly.
I've only seen one hard frost, plus all the rabbits and garden snails are still out and about.
In fact, I'm fairly sure there's a palm tree starting to grow in the back yard.
Enjoy,
Kobsw

This pesky planet seems to get warm and cool in 60,000 year cycles. I've seen the striations in the rocks in NYC's Central Park. The ice was 1,000 ft thick there 30,000 years ago. It's going the other way at the moment. Ice cores from Antartica show C02 levels almost 20X what it is today in the "way back." Climate is changing but there is currently lots more other stuff to get my attention. Joe

forecast is 72 today and 10 day forecast is similar, for whatever that's worth.
*Not Worth Much - I was looking at the Hilton Head Island forecast.
Louisville is still good - 68 today and a mild 40s-50s 10 day outlook.

Impressive storm. I read somewhere else that the people who were trapped in a pub for three days were attending an Oasis cover band event, and that the pub is at the highest altitude of any pub in England.
A major windstorm, dubbed Storm Arwen by Britain’s Met Office, left at least 300,000 households in the dark over the weekend as it raked the northern U.K. with winds gusting near 100 mph. Snow plastered parts of the region as an Arctic-chilled air mass surged south behind departing low pressure, which stranded more than five dozen people in a remote pub in northern England for three days.
The storm is over now and a brief warm-up is on the way for the U.K., but a reinforcing shot of chilly air is expected as a new low pressure system materializes north of the English Channel on Wednesday.
Leading up to Arwen’s arrival, the Met Office, Britain’s weather service, issued a rare red warning, noting that “flying debris [will result] in danger to life” and anticipating “damage to buildings and homes, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down.”

But what better place to be stranded for 3 days than a pub with all your favorite food, drink and entertainment?

67 F in South West Montana yesterday, along with a 30 mph wind that hasn't stopped for a week. No shorts and tees here. The wind should stop next Monday as that is when the snow is forecast.

It's been unseasonably warm here in central Oklahoma. The temp today is forecast to be 80 degrees. If that happens, it would be the warmest Dec. 2 since 1890. I guess they had global warming back in 1890 too.

When CO2 levels were the highest there were no humanoids
walking around. 417ppm is the highest levels in the last 600,000
years according to the ice cores. And most of the increase has
been since the start of the industrial revolution.

It hit 80 degrees here in OKC today. I detailed my truck today and worked on my tan at the same time.
