New Raylan Givens limited series coming to FX
The new series, Justified: City Primeval, is set eight years after Justified ended in 2015. Raylan is still a U.S. Marshal in Miami, but the series is principally set in Detroit. Timothy Olyphant is back as Raylan; Justified’s series creator, Graham Yost, returns as exec producer, with two Justified writers as show runners. No word on if other Justified cast members will return. Production starts this year; release date is TBD.
And yes, gettin old ain’t for pussies.

Yes, or change the character completely as in what happened to the Cordell Walker character in the Walker remake of Walker, Texas Ranger. I notice that one of the reviews on the new series mentions Givens balancing life as a marshal and being a part-time father of a 14 year old girl. Personally, emphasis on family issues is one of the many things that turned me off to the Walker series and I quit watching it after the third or fourth episode.
I'm hopeful but cautious about the new justified series. If I want to watch a show about family challenges I'll find some old re-runs of Father Knows Best, My Three Sons or Leave It To Beaver.

Hot Dang! I hope it comes on one of our streaming services (without commercials). I probably need to go back and re-watch the series again.....just for good measure.

It just won't be the same if it is not set in Kentucky. I liked "Justified" mainly because I was born and raised around people just like those in the series, made me feel like I was back home.
