Are you a fingernail biter/chewer ?
If you were, how did you break the habit?
In my case, YES , and have broken it previously, but always relapse!
One thing that makes it easier for me to understand what someone trying to stop smoking goes through!

I got written up for it in OCS at Ft Benning in 1970. I'd never really thought about it before, but I quit and have never bitten them since.

Unless you're Lebron James. Then the gals don't seem to mind so much.

I don't bite 'em, but I'm an inveterate fingernail trimmer using the scissors on my Swiss Army knife.

I don't but probably did early on. I suspect it's due to stress. I can't remember when I stopped but now use clippers regularly to keep the broken nails and long nails at bay.

All my cash has got to be one way in my wallet, and all the corners straightened.

(Wrong statement )
I never said I had cash.

I used to chew my nails. The only way I could quit was to take up smoking.

Gotta thing with 2-way light switches. When the light is off, both switches need to be in the down position. I don't lose sleep over it, just change it when I see it.

I quit in high school when I got serious about a girl. Unfortunately, I started smoking shortly thereafter and did so for 27 yrs. I dumped that bad habit but I now trim my nails a lot.

same way with money. all the same way, organized by value.
Also, all of my shirts in the closet have to have the fronts facing the same way. this of course is used by the wife to make me do my own laundry.

+2.
All my shoes have to be paired together. I like my books to be in order (all the print facing one direction).
That's about it. It keeps the goblins away.

Well, there's at least three of us. I think it's an OCD thing.

One thing I noticed about getting dentures is that nail biting stops all by itself.

It's more of a superstition than a habit, but I will not have my legs crossed on an airplane during take-offs and landings. Don't know where it came from, but it's there (and I have NEVER been in a crash...)

Same here. Clippers in my pocket as we "speak".
There's an older doctor here in town who was getting his tag renewed on his vehicle once, and noticed that the clerk renewing his tag bit her nails.
He said, "You bite your nails, don't you?"
She said, "Yes, it's a terrible habit. I need to break it."
He said, "I used to bite mine, too. You know when I stopped?"
She said, "No, when?"
He said, "When I started disecting humans(in medical school). It just didn't matter how much I washed my hands, I could not put them back in my mouth."

Take a sraping from under your finger nails, grow in a petri dish for a couple of days, see what grows. You won't bite your nails any moer.

That's normal. However, I did hear of one fellow who ironed his money before going out on liberty. None of his shipmates knew where he went on liberty, because they didn't go with him, and weren't really interested in finding out, anyway.
