Wanted to go to Berea, was hoping for something better than wintery weather. Still need more 38cal bullets, wanted to stop at FFF too.
Got a very slight dusting of snow here, about a 1/2 mile south of me begins the elevation change for lake effect snows. Local news is Chardon got 5".

Hartsgrove has about 6” with more coming down. Just a bit east of Chardon, South of Thompson.

Just picked up another pistol myself. Wanted something in .32-20 to go with a rifle in the same caliber. Now if I could just find ammo/brass.

I'm looking forward to the May bunch. I was talking with Larry about possibly taking over organizing the show going forward. If you know collectors who may be interested in attending please let them know about this. Gary

When I see/meet a potential new 'buncher', I don't refer them to the site/thread until I get to know them.

Gary approached me on taking charge of the meetings. We talked and he seems capable of running the show. Nothing should change except I can attend the meetings and not worry about details. This way the group WON’T end because I am growing tired of all the preparation every 6 months. It’s really not that bad, but would be glad to be free of doing it. We have a unique group of people in the Bunch and that’s a good thing and we will be able to get together and visit still like before. You guys are great.

Denny told me in a PM it’s been 12 years or 23 meetings. We missed the spring of 2020. Larry

Good for you in planning for an organized succession in putting on the Northeast Ohio Bunch events. We had a major annual event at one of my clubs that was run by the same people for quite a few years. To my knowledge, there was never any integration of newer people into the organizers. Then one year essentially everyone got exhausted at the same time and gave up running the event, so that year the event didn't happen. Fortunately the next year a new group of people stepped up and started running the event. But now it's been quite a few years since the current group of organizers stepped up, so I hope the lesson was learned and new people are being gradually integrated into the operation.

Now that the bunch is about 5 weeks away and the weather has gone away from winter, I'll bring up 'hostas'. Again I can bring many young hostas. Also gonna have a few 'Louisianna Flags', a brilliant yellow iris, water loving and need to be planted at the edge of a pond, lake, creek. Very fast growing and hardy. Also some Raspberry plants, young but fast maturers.
Also young miniature red daylilies as before.

Upcoming weekend is Berea show. Communicated with promoter (she is also a roller coaster rider) and the show is the 1st of the season of the larger warm weather shows. Weather both days is predicted to be in mid 70s'. I might go both days.

I had total shoulder replacement done 15(?) years ago. Make sure she does her therapy. It will take a while for complete mobility to return but that is the goal. She should not baby it but don’t overuse it either.

Went to the berea show this afternoon light in attendance lots of areas open (no tables ). I have not been to a show since last september, maybe the weather being so nice keep folks away

I was there from 11:30-1:30. I didn't think attendance was light, just not normally what we've come to expect at the 1st warm weather Berea show.
Said hi to DanT, picked up some S&W pistol mags, and a box of 38cal 125gr plated bullets for reloading.
I wasn't looking at firearms, I don't know what a Ruger No.1 would look like Larry.

Way in the back of the middle building was empty/no tables and the building closest to Eastland Rd had a few empty spots.

Richland county fairgrounds in Mansfield has a Civil war, WW1 and WW2 reinactment. Something different if anyone is interested. May meet someone in the parking lot, hit the Fin in Ashland then come home. Larry

Mansfield gun show will be there 3 weeks after that, same weekend as the 'bunch'.

I'm ready, everything I'm bringing has been prepped.

Saw a lot of interesting items at OGCA. Several folks had displays up and I spent some time chatting with the fellow that had the .32-20 display (rifles and pistols). Of course he had a copy of 2 of mine, a Martini Cadet and a Smith Hand Ejector, 4th change, both in .32-20 (of course). Over all, great show, but no primers could be found, except for some French made shotshell primers.

Too bad AJ, should have PM’d me with your phone number nd we could have met up somewhere for coffee.

Ohioan, I am a Martini nut. You say you have a .310 Cadet or a Martini converted to 32/20? Usually the .310 are stamped with 32/20 on them. Kinda miss going to the OGCA, it was the only show I attended for years up north. Larry

Not going to make it this year. Broke my leg in March and healing is slow, I'm in an aircast and use a walker. Next evaluation is May 28.
By the way I am the guy that won the Sig P365 from the club raffle. I have shot it through the open slider and will be carrying it in the future.

Sure wish I could make the meeting, I miss seeing all you who usually attend. I'm having surgery on my lower back on 17th. Hopefully I'll be healed up by the fall get together. That's why I haven't been to the OGCA for awhile. Walking is painful. Hopefully this will fix me up !! Miss you guys, take care ! Ron B.

It was a Martini originally chambered in .310 Greener, but was reamed out to take .32-20. It's been in my family for as long as I can remember, and I've shot it on and off for at least 50 years. It became mine when my father passed. The pistol I picked up so I could have a period pistol in the same caliber.

Ron, good luck on the 17th. Wife had 5 vertebrae fused 8 years ago and is doing great. The day after surgery she was crying and I asked why? She said the pain in her legs was gone and they were happy tears. If not raining, we walk 2 miles a day with a big hill and she is always ahead of me. You’ll do great, see you in September.

Yep, gonna be boring for a while until the day of the 'bunch'. Cedar Point opens today but not planning on going until the 1st Friday of June (Coastermania).

We’re close, only 2 weeks. Starting a drum roll.

Two days after the meeting (Monday morning) I’m gonna have a heart catheretization, supposedly didn’t do great on the stress test. Not figuring it will turn out bad cause we walk 2 miles a day (if it doesn’t rain or snow) with steep hills involved. If things were bad, the cardiologist would have reserved a room at the local emergency room!!

Is anyone bringing pop? Not sure, I could pick it up in 2 weeks. Larry
