I went to this quarry (about 75 yard limit) and shot my Win. 88 308 (1965), 95%, all stock, no scope. Hit or got close to various small objects. Just fun and a joy to shoot. Then tried a little Beretta .25 950B. This gun fits so great in the hand for being so little. And It's more accurate than I anticipated. Then my S&W 3" 13-3 357. Wow! Easy to bounce beer cans fairly regularly out to thirty five yards. What a great gun! My friend was completly surprised what he could hit with it. Then we shot his blue worn Walther PPK/S .22. My first time shooting one of these. A true joy to plink with. Just a great sunny day in the Sierra foothills to shoot a small variety of good guns. Broke no range records but had fun. Isn't that what it's all about?

Amen! That's what it's all about. I got the week off of school and the girlfriend asked about going to the beach. I told her I would rather go to the range. So Thursday, it's beach during the day, range in the evening, BBQ for dinner.

I am happiest right after a good range session, and before it's time to clean the guns.

Why did you wait so long? What did you do on your first day of retirement?
