obi-wan kenobi
I've been watching it on disney+ (total of 6 episodes). Another awesome Star Wars spinoff. Why o why couldn't they have gotten the same writers/directors to do 7,8,9? The movies are very underwhelming in comparison.

So far the Star Wars spinoff's have been much, much better than the Marvel spinoff's.

The Obi Wan series was better than the sequels and Bobba Fett. But it looked rushed and so much of the writing was horrible and canon breaking again.
Disney Star Wars is creatively bankrupt.

This. 100%.
The Obi Wan series was mildly entertaining, but the writing was terrible. Obi Wan was a doofus. Inquisitor Reva's character arc was completely non-sensical and she was poorly cast. Young Leia should not have been involved at all. The visual effects were pretty bad as well, not even up to the standards of the Mandalorian.

My biggest takeaway was that it finally makes sense why princess lea reached out to ObiWan in the first movie. When she sent r2d2 with the hologram.
I thought the Mandalorian was awesome! Kenobi was just ok.

These aren't the droids you're looking for.

I have no issues with the special effects. I don't even mind '60s a Star Trek...
The inquisitor plot was left a bit wanting. It went pretty much nowhere. I liked the further development of Kenobi vs Vader. Of course Kenobi couldn't kill Vader, but it didn't make much sense to leave him alive again. But they at least were consistent with Vader's line in episode 4, "when we last met, you were the master..."
The fight was cool. In the beginning Kenobi was a defeated has-been. In the end he has gotten his mojo back.
