Vintage Car Enthusiast especially Mustangs
So last Saturday I went to town for some antique type hooks for the wifes tack room. I was disappointed because the place I normally go had closed and changed to a boutique. So I get in my truck, I had parked on a side street, and pull out, looking to my left I see a building like an old car dealership with a row of vintage mustangs lined up in the front. OH yes I gotta see this. So I repark and walk across the street. Go in and am immediately greeted by a super nice guy welcoming me in. I asked if this is a dealership or museum. NO! Just my cars that I like to show other people, is his reply, no charge or anything. Then for the next 90 minutes or so he shows me all the cars, cars in various stages of restoration, parts room etc. So friendly and nice just 2 guys talking. He is a very interesting guy, rancher, engineer, has a bunch of companies I believe. Born and raised in Mineral Wells.
He had about 25-30 cars there plus others being worked on. Only 1, 68 Shelby, but his thing is 71 Mustangs. He had 69s,70s, 66s and some others here and there but mostly 71s. Restored with all genuine parts.
Check him out if you are interested
Findley Ledbetter/ Blue Oval Car Barn/ Mineral Wells TX. He has a great virtual tour on UT. The cars were amazing.Im still drooling. Told him I will be back after I sell all the wifes real mustangs(barrel horses)to get his help getting one,HA.

OK, how many know where the Mustang got it's name from?
And it wasn't a horse!

I think the last one that sold was between $350,000–$400,000! That gentlemen probably has several million dollars worth of Mustangs in his collection.
P-51 Mustang Airplane on the name.

I've always been a Mustang guy , can't stay away . My current Mustang is a 2003 Mach1 , one of 450 blue azure with an automatic . They only made about 14000 in 2 years , 2003-04 . They were fashioned after the Cobra's , just no superchargers and no IRS . Mine is fixing to be restored and the engine upgraded , not that it needs it , it only has 65,000 miles on it . I bought it used in 2006 and the paint was abused , but the engine is fine . I just have the fever , mo power .

Good person to network with. I have noticed over the years that "true collectors" are not interested so much in the costs, but rather sharing the hobby, learning, nonjudgemental, and if you make a sale with one, will offer to buy back anything they sold you at FMV. Also, a wealth of knowledge...I am sure you learned more in 90 minutes (was it?) than most would studying for awhile. Cars and classic cars are a community just like S&W or any other brand of interest and do a great service to new members and others who hold a shared interest. Very cool.
