T-Shirt Slogans
The 12-step thread in the "Other Brands' section got me thinking: What are some weird/odd/clever/inappropriate (or utterly appropriate) T-Shirts slogans, logos, pictures, etc. you have encountered? Remember the forum rules. I'll go first.
I worked a homicide in which an alcoholic in his 30s was beaten to death with a whiskey bottle. Yes, I see the irony. We made an arrest and I was presenting the autopsy report in the probable cause hearing. The defense counsel decided to make a point of the dead man's T-shirt, although it had absolutely no bearing on the cause of death or his client's guilt or innocence. I knew the caption under the design would be painful to the deceased's sister, who attended. So did the lawyer, but he went after it anyway. I decided to make him work for it. He asked me to describe the shirt. I said it was brown. Was there anything on it? A picture. Step by step I described each of the elements of the picture one question at a time. I even mentioned mustard. Finally after I admitted there was lettering I had to give up the caption. Under a picture of horse, reins dangling, outside an outhouse with boot tracks leading to the door: "We all gotta go sometime".
Your turn.

I had a simple grey T-shirt that said in black letters:
I always listen to the voices in my head!
I wore to yard and garage sales; I thought it helped to lower the final prices.

I like both Monty Python based t-shirts and also rock bands. My Monty collection has Black Knight Bridge Security Services (None shall pass), Norwegian Blue Pale Ale (Pining for the fjords) and Rogers Shrubbery Service (Shrubberies since 932)
Musically I have a couple Pink Floyd and a AC/DC t-shirts.

I wear this one on Father's Day and many outings with the grandkids, got it 9 years ago when grandson #1 came along. I get lots of compliments and smiles on it (either it's the shirt or my fly is open).

T shirt from the early '80s on an American Foxhound.
Funny story as to how they were made/sold and look like that.
A retired Cop was involved.

Had one that said "Jesus Loves You" in large letters and in small letters below it read, "Everyone Else Thinks You're an *** ****". My loving wife made that one disappear after I wore it to church under my dress shirt. Still wonder why...

When I was a kid in the early 1980’s the charter fishing boat Miss Chris II, out of Cape May NJ, used to sell a t-shirt advertising the boat that had “Be a Happy Hooker” printed on it. Fortunately they even sold child sized versions of the shirt. You can imagine how well it was received by Sister Alice at my Catholic school when I wore it for field day in 3rd grade. When she spoke to my Mom about it my Mom’s reply was “Hey, Sister, lighten up”.
The local Ford dealer used to sell a shirt in the parts department that said “On a quiet night in Ford country you can hear a Chevy rusting”. Dad and I both had that shirt.
At Irish weekend in North Wildwood there are always lots of cop themed shirts for sale. One of my favorites referenced convicted cop killer Mumia Abu Jamal, “Mumia shouldn’t be in a 6x6 cell, he should already be 6 feet closer to hell”. Mom and Dad gave that one to me as a Christmas gift.

Nearly 30 years ago I ordered a T shirt from the Car Talk radio program that said "Save the Skeets." It was their way of poking fun at the save the whales folks.
Wish I still had it. Alas, they are no longer available.

I think my favorite gun-related tee shirt said "Due to the high cost of ammo, there will be no warning shot".

I got the ATF shirt. I'll be wearing it to a gun show tomorrow.

I still have few I wear like “In my defense, I was left unsupervised “ ; “Once upon a time, I didn’t care; and then …….. I still didn’t. The End.” “Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult “ . (I wear that to gun shows and tell people it’s my “4473 shirt”)
When I was 18 (and thought I was rebellious and clever) I found a shirt on a vacation trip that had what appeared to be Chinese/Oriental script/lettering with a busy background that if examined closely said “Yuck Foo”. I was in public one day in a store and a small boy on the hand of his mother (he apparently was learning to read) was studying the shirt before I noticed him and sounded it out. The mother ( rightfully so) gave me a look that would peel paint and hustled him away. The embarrassment and shame taught me then and there if I were to wear anything like that again it would only be in select company in private settings. I learn …. But sometimes I’m a little slow……
I still cringe when I see (supposedly) adults wearing profane or down right nasty stuff in public places. Apparently they never grew up. To me all it says is “Hey ! Look at
Me ! I’m STUPID!”
