Well, not exactly new. I got it last fall, but the picture is new. CZ-83 .380 auto. I'm glad I bought a few hundred rounds when I bought it because everyone is complaining about a .380 ammo shortage. I really like this gun.

I like. I've been wanting another more "substantial" 380; as light and thin as the KelTec is, it can be a tad sharp on the palm of the hand.
How does this compare with say, a Bersa?

Nice. But I hardly consider a .380 to be a mouse gun.

I have a Colt Pony Pocketlite 380 from the Colt custom shop. It came with real sights, trigger job, and custon wood grips. I really like this pistol but don't carry it because it has esclated in value. I have been looking for a Ruger LCP mouse gun that I can stick in my pocket. There are none to be found. Most of the gun shops here have a waiting list. I never thought I would see the day???

I tried a Bersa and a PPK (rentals) before I purchased the CZ. The Bersa was not as well finished, had a poorer, grittier trigger and had several failures to feed. However I've heard about a lot of other Bersa's that functioned very well.
The PPK functioned pretty well but wasn't as smooth. Price was the deciding factor.
The CZ has been 100% as far as function. The DA pull is long but very smooth. Accuracy is good enough for me to hit about 80% of falling plates at 25 yards.
I've always considered anything under 9mm Parabellum as a mouse gun.

I have a Cz-82, basically a sibling of the CZ-83. Major differences are caliber (the CZ82 is 9x18mm) and rifling (the CZ82 uses polygonal). The 9x18mm version also holds only 12rds in the mag instead of 13.
It points well, but is no light weight. Nice thing is that if someone is used to a 1911, these lend themselves well to cocked and locked carry and will even fit in some 1911 holsters.

Mine is a NAA .22 LR. Bought it several years ago.Load 2 snake shot & 3 Long rifle hollow points when I was metal detecting in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Would peel a snakes head @ 5 od 6 ft. Still have it with my CCW here in the North West. And Yes, I've found a lot metal detecting. How about a 1854 quarter & a 1988 dime sound?

Nice.. I like .380's myself. Makes a perfect
"pocket" pistol. Bad guys see a gun, they don't
care what caliber it is.. Most will go away.
If they don't, just apply medicine as many times
as needed to cause them to change their mind.

Nice gun, like most CZ's. In my book, .380 is the last stop above mouse gun ballistics, but not a rodent by any means.

Here's my little mouse popper and all the ways I love to carry it. It rides and hides just fine on the beach or at a BBQ in cut-off Jeans, tank top and flip flops. It's also my church gun.
