And the shooter's name was Larry Horn.

I think the lesson learned is that in the state of Texas, you don't mess with folks named Horn.

Are you from up around there? Haven't been through Poteet in a long time. I think they are the strawberry capital of the world, or some such.

Here's the article.......

Atascosa County authorities don't anticipate filing criminal charges against a business owner who shot and killed a 25-year-old man Wednesday night during a failed robbery attempt.

Meanwhile, they continue to search for another gunmen who fled from Larry's Game Room near Poteet after his accomplice was fatally shot.

David Soward, chief deputy of the Atascosa County Sheriff's Department, said the two gunmen entered the business, located on Texas 16, at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, seeking to rob it.

Soward said one of the gunmen carried a shotgun, and the other a pistol. He said the one with the pistol fired one round into the ceiling, ordering a female employee to the ground as the other robber pointed a shotgun at her.

It was then that business owner Larry Horn walks out of the back room with a .40-caliber semi-automatic weapon, startling the robbers, according to the chief deputy.

Soward said the robber with the shotgun turns to aim at Horn, but that the business owner fires first, striking the man in the head and killing him instantly. The other suspect then runs out the door.

“We think we know the identity of both of them,” Soward said, adding he's awaiting fingerprint confirmation on the dead gunmen before releasing his name.

He said no customers were inside the business when the robbery occurred and that the employee wasn't hurt.

“Horn was brought in for questioning and we took a statement from him, but we don't anticipate any charges at this time,” Soward said.

THUGS BEWARE !

Peter.

I would think it would be easy for the tracking dogs to catch the BG who shot his pistol into the ceiling . . . just before the owner popped in and took out the shotgun toter with a brain shot from his .45ACP . . .

Just follow the smell from the soiled underpants!

It doesn't say in the article that it was a T@&U$ but I got the inside scoop from a credible person. (Sorry about the profanity.)

This is great, but how come we aren't seeing this smeared all over the news stations?

Very simple - the liberal media absolutely will not report on anything that supports our right to bear arms.

Saturday night, I was sitting in the airport in Minneapolis, some drone on CNN was reporting on the incident in New York and screaming for a ban on all automatic and semi-automatic weapons. Said that the country had suffered enough needless violence at the hands of gun owners.

I couldn't reach the TV to smash it, besides, the TSA wouldn't have let me on the plane to fly home.

The two perps tried to rob a GUN store???

File this one under "Stupid Criminals Stories."

And remember the last paragraph, "Horn was brought in for questioning and we took a statement from him...."

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! DON'T TALK TO THE POLICE FOR GOD'S SAKE EVEN IF YOU'RE INNOCENT! TALK TO THEM THROUGH YOUR ATTORNEY!
