Exclamation I AM NOT SAYING THAT S&W IS BAD

I am not saying that S&W makes a bad product but I AM SAYING THAT S&W HAS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS PRODUCT ONCE IT IS OUT THE DOOR.
1. I have MANY S&W'S RIGHT NOW AND THEY ARE MOSTLY GOOD FIREARMS. The MAJORITY are for sale now.
2. I have a S&W 22a auto that you need a sledge hammer to get the clip in far enough for the weapon to fire. I have had contact with S&W customer service four different times. THEY PROMISE TO SEND PAPERWORK TO GET IT REPAIRED or they JUST NEVER RETURN MY CALLS.
3. I have a 4043 and I asked to get a hard copy manual for it.
I have TALKED OR BEEN IN TOUCH WITH S&W CUTOMER SERVICE 3 different times WITH NO RESULTS, ONLY PROMISES.
4. I was going to send a 40 cal auto back into them for a ck-up and any updates that it needed. I WAS IN TOUCH WITH THEM ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO RESULTS EVEN THOUGH TWO PEOPLE SAID THE SHIPPING INFO WAS IN THE MAIL.
I think if they TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS like that it may be the best idea if they GO THE WAY OF THE DINOSAUR and let RUGER, TAURUS, COLT AND OTHERS TAKE OVER THEIR SPOT.

AGAIN what I am saying is that they produce a good product generally but IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AFTER THE SALE, YOU ARE TOTALLY ON YOUR OWN, THUS, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, THUS, FEWER REPEAT CUSTOMERS.

I've never had any problems of that sort. My last contact, about ten days ago, resulted in a recall of a Model 60 with sticking, hard-to-open cylinder - that revolver is about 12 years old - I should be getting it back some time this week... is costing me nothing

Did you shout (like in your post with the caps) when you were in touch with them?
If so, I think maybe I see a reason for being ignored......

It might be best that you dump all your S&W's and find another company to be unhappy with.

Default Smith Wesson Customer Service

This being your first post, it make me wonder if your just a troll.

I've never had a problem with their service.

If your so unhappy about your Smith Wesson guns, put them here in the classifieds for sale. :-)

Used them one time, had a small flick missing on my 638, returned it good as new in a reasonable amount of time.
Now the finish is wearing on the trigger guard, oh well.

I have had several dealings with S&W and find them to be second only to Dillon in Customer Service. They have over delivered and under promised to me on every occasion...The OP sounds like a Troll to me.

I do know S&W will no longer service or repair Pre-War revolvers or autos.

As a public service, we trade nice, clean, used Taurus's straight across for nice 44 HE's, Reg Mags, 38/44's, 32 Autos, NM #3's, K-22/40's, etc, etc.

(Taurus chosen by us. Not valid with any coupons.)

I know it's fun, but be gentle.........

1. There is a Guns For Sale section on S&W Forum http://smith-wessonforum.com/guns-sale-trade/

2&4. Here is a link of another S&W Forum member having difficulty getting a return shipping label from S&W. Well, looks like it's finally my turn (The thrilling conclusion) .There is a number and contact in that thread. Seems as though the issue got cleared up soon after that number and contact was posted... but not sure if that was the reason or not. While not the norm, I have read this type story about S&W CS several times.

3. You can download manuals from the S&W website.

Yes, Taurus is the way to go...

Every company made up of more than one individual can give varying service...but overall, S&W has one of the best service mentalities in the business, as does Ruger and Springfield Armory. Just as not every machine is perfect, not every customer service rep is perfect.

WITH ALL YOUR SUPPOSED real PROBLEMS with your guns YOU ARE SENDING A .40 BACK FOR A "CHECK UP" AND "UPDATES"...UPDATES?...REALLY? YOU might not be a troll, but YOU SOUND LIKE A LOON.

I have a H&R 922, 9 shot 22 that I'll trade you for the 22a and won't even charge you extra. It's a vintage (1955) and has never given me a bit of trouble. It doesn't even have a "clip" you have to fool with.

I'll give $50 and a bag of fruit flavored jelly beans for the 22A provided you have not beaten it with said hammer.
