We were there all day Saturday. I picked up four boxes of Sierra 7mm 140 gr.BTSP for 37 bucks and a few odds and ends for my muzzleloader. Tried to make a deal for a model 624 that some one messed up a trigger job on but the owner was too proud of it. Saw a real nice Remington 1875 that I'm thinking I should have picked up. Maybe next time. Big crowd Saturday.

A nice set of N fame grips I needed, other than those I was able to resist temptation. For the past couple of shows I've been going on Sunday mornings, its not so crowded.

We went, we drove around. Then we drove around some more, finally parking in the field out by Wendy's. Then we hiked and hiked. Finally getting inside the show... Then after checking in at that official gate keeper, we walked some more.
We had a meeting, as Dant declared we had a quorum of members. I'm sure Lee's ears were ringing from the abuse of him not showing up.
I saw nothing I couldn't live without, my oldest son and oldest grandson felt the same. Just before we left, I spotted a box of .30 / 180 grain Barnes bullets, so I bought them. Saw a bunch in .270, but only one box of .30 cal.
Didn't see Keith. Wonder why he's not coming.

I think Keith made it on Sunday. Sunday was much more calm the Saturday.
I did find something I wasn't looking for. It followed me home. Some will find it blasphemous, but I think it is good looking. Something very '50s about it, like fins on a Cadillac.

I really wanted to go as the trip lets me stop in and check on my step-mother in Springfield who is in assisted living. I was planning on it up until Wednsday when my friend John decided that he couldn't make it. My wife had to work and I just couldn't face the 6 hour drive from Illinois by myself.
We are planning on attending the May meeting though.

I made it Sunday morning and also checked in with Dan and was then allowed entrance into the show. Hey wheelgun, I kinda like that "Elvis" rifle, it looks very period correct except for the bipod, I always liked caddy's with fins. I also came close to buying a nice K-22 from a forum member but found a OM Colt that needed to go home with me instead. Guess I had a fever I didn't know about!

Keith, you have a good eye, (and great taste). That is my Harris bipod. I added it to prop up the gun for the pictures. Here is one without it:

Bought a couple of FAL mags @ $15 each, and a bag of .45ACP brass. It felt good walking out of their with almost all the money I had when I went in. We were there at 7:30, and the parking lot was rapidly filling. By about 10:30, I got to the point where I couldn't move where I wanted, and see what I wanted to see. That's when I know that it's too crowded, and time to get out.

Did he buy the one with the $5500 asking price, or the one with the $4150 price?
I balked at both because of the aftermarket recoil pads, and how they were installed.

Dick,he bought his for $3800,sold it to a friend for 4000 who sold it for $4700,crazy.He should have hung onto it.They may be the strongest double going but I don't like the lines of them, looks wise. For that kind of price there are a lot better looking shotguns, but I would love to have one if money was no object...Mike

Hey was good to see ALL of you guys....to say it was crowded is an understatement, but as said above, on Sunday was able to "see" ( as well as pickup a few nice things....I know, I know, they were Rugers, but hey,out of two S&W's I was able to sell ONE........
( and that was to a 'dealer' no less.....???
yes, if ever you go, it must be in May, for the display show, and like Jim Fisher's S&W display last year, will be a tough act to follow.........

I found a decent S&W model 64 for $325 and a couple of speedloaders for $10. It was definitely the most crowded show I've been to at Wilmington. Where is all the ammo?
