I learned something neat yesterday. When the surly clerk at the local C-store looks at you and demands “you be here for Lottery?” The proper response is not, “No the lottery is just another tax on stupid people.”
OMG, If looks could kill I would have been dead half a dozen times before I could drag my old self out of there

Ha! That reminded me of a time when my 4 year old (IIRC) daughter and I stopped to get a Slurpee at 7-11. We were waiting in line at the cashier and my daughter turned towards me and commented on the shirtless, heavily muscled, much younger dude who was just in front of us in line.
She said in what seemed like her loudest voice possible "daddy, that man is stuuupppid, he's smoking" (which was illegal in public places in NY). He and everyone else heard what she said and all I could do was smile as him. He was a good sport about it and smiled back.
On the ride home, I explained to my daughter the virtue of discretion and how it was impolite to point out the faults of others, especially in public.
Just like old bear, I also wish everyone a good and safe Memorial Day weekend.
We are never too old to learn something new.
