In this movie Sidney Poitier wears in holsters, a pair of sawed off over & under shotguns. What do you think they were and what O&U shotguns (Howda?) were around in the late 1800's? Lots of great shootouts in this movie.

I wondered the same thing. I remember they had external hammers and were pretty cool looking O/U shotguns.

That's right, they had external hammers. they must have been cosmetic only. that would be a weird firing pin arangement for an over and under.
