Marcus Luttrell is a Navy Seal, author of THE LONE SURVIVOR, and is in need of your prayers. He is recovering from wounds received in Iraq and as part of his theropy was given a golden Lab puppy. He named her Dasy, letters taken from names of his seal team killed in action in Iraq. Macus is now living with his mother on a ranch in Texas. His helping her is also part of his theorpy. He cannot sleep at night, residual damage of his physical and psychological wounds.
Last week, late at night, he let Dasy out and shortly afterwards heard a shot. He grabbed his gun, checked with his mother, and went out to investigate, where he found four men laughing and bragging after they shot Daisy dead with a .357 magnum. When they saw Marcus they started threatinging to kill him like they did Daisy. Seeing his gun, they bolted and Marcus chased them through four counties with his truck. He admitted to Glen Beck he was trying to get a shot at the driver, but his truck was too slow to catch up with their car. All the time he was chasing the four men, he was on his cell phone with the police. The police set up a roadblock and the men were stopped before Marcus could exact his revenge.
While, telling this to Glen Beck, Marcus was
noticeably shaken.

My wife has a service dog, like Dasy was to Marcus. Nobody could begin to believe how important he is to her. Like Dasy was to Marcus, Bogart's purpose is to assist with post trumatic stress. His death, especially if it were murder at the hands of incomprehensable evil, would be intollerable. I understand how Marcus would shoot them dead in an instant if he caught them.

If you believe in prayer, Marcus Luttrell needs mention. If you want to help in another way, order his book, LONE SURVIVOR. Donations to the humane society or any service dog organization are also always needed.

I saw this on Beck last night. I am left without words to describe my feelings watching this. Here is a link to the Beck site.

A strong argument for justifiable homicide if ever there was one.

Anyone who would kill a dog like that has resigned from the human race.

I agree 110%. Even though he did the 'right' think by turning them over to the cops, I sure wish the cops would have give Mr. Lutrell a few minutes of private time with these ***'s before taking them to jail. I'm sure he saved himself a lot of aggravation and money by not shooting them, but it's a shame he couldn't have shot all of them where they stood without the fear of legal repercussions.

I am glad that Mr. Luttrell did not kill any of those people. It would have probably changed his life as he knew it for a very long time. The punks that killed his dog should get the maximum on every count and the prosecutor should not let up until he finds proof of all the dogs they have killed.

Marcus I hope that justice is in the future for you.

There should be three kinds of homicide:
1. illegal
2. justifiable
3. praiseworthy

I picked up his book at the library and that evening the story about killing his dog was on the news. Very sad. I finished his book which will certainly bring tears to your eyes. Do you know if he needs help getting another dog?

Yep. I, and probably most here, would have considered this a #3 had Mr. Lutrell dropped them, unfortunately, I think the law would have called it #1.

Absolutely heartbreaking. But, we are now transitioning into a period of disrespect for the military. As part of this young people are ignorant about what the military does and our history. The criminals who killed the dog probably don't know a SEAL from a can of beans. And how about their dads, moms, siblings?

I understand they then threatened the Seal with physical harm. I thought they should be given the opportunity, and he given the opportunity to respond in like fashion.
