I stopped in at the local Dick's tonite to get my son some new arm guards for lacrosse. They didn't have the ones he wanted so I stopped into the gun department to look around.

I asked if they had any .380 ammo...not that I'd ever own a .380, but I was curious because I heard how tough it was to find.

The counterman said no...but "we just got in one case of 9mm and it's on sale".

They just got in ONE CASE (ten boxes) of Remington-UMC 115gr. 9mm FMJ. It was on sale for $12.98/box or 11.98/box case price. He had just opened the cardboard box and placed the individual cartons on the shelf.

What the hell, I sold a piece of metal-working equipment that I didn't need this morning for $1250.00...so I figured I'd treat myself.

I bought the ten boxes for $11.98/box each...cleaned 'em out...I figured that was a pretty good deal in today's market for quality ammo.

Guess I'll take the Glock 19 out to the range tomorrow for a little functionality check. I'll shoot up some old FMJ 9mm...gotta rotate the stock y'know!

Don't pick on .380's,I've had an extra 35 years on this earth thanks to a Wather PPK in .380.

Thanks. He's been playing since he was little. He turns 17 today. He's a junior attackman. He's the leading scorer on his varsity team. I'm very proud of him. It's fun to go to the games!
