You don't have to see those ads on the right side of the first post on a topic if you're registered and logged in..


Sorry Lee, I'm sure they help pay for the site but they are kind of annoying.

That's true, and if you use firefox with add block it takes care of the banner at top as well.

You'll have to teach me about that. I opened the forum with both browsers, and see the same thing, the Progressive insurance lady in a top-line banner ad.

If it helps Lee defray the cost of our hanging out here, I'm really not opposed to the ads.

I actually haven't turned off my ads. I usually don't come across any that are too bad. I have firefox keep the pop ups away, which is what annoys me most.

I've been clicking the ads on this site now and then if they are half way interesting. The sites running the ads can tell how many people go to their site from this forum. So if they see people coming to their site from smith-wessonforum.com, they will be happy and that will be better for Lee.
