I like it. I think there should be more levels.

Whew! What a relief! I worried that my carefully concealed age had been revealed, resulting in this dubious designation... Glad to know it's only the result of prolific posting...

Thanks, pal!

(Heh heh. He finally saw it. Had to post it twice. I think ol' Dick is the only dead guy we have on the board. )

What! It's not your age?
Anyone over 50 should be a senior member from day one.

Actually, Charlie is older than me. And he's running replacement parts.

Another point of view
I usually try to be a peacemaker on the various forums I frequent, but I'll take a contrary stand on this particular issue.
To me, granting different titles based on post count is counter-productive in a couple of ways:
- It encourages the notion of a "caste" society, i.e., a "Senior Member is somehow better than just a plain old "Member"
- It encourages nonsense or trash posting, just to raise post count, so a "Member" can elevate themselves to "Senior" status sooner
I favor (and would propose) doing away with the tiered titles, and calling everyone simply "member".
FWIW.

I don't care what you title me as long as I can participate in the forum. Who gives a rats butt if you're a member or a senior member or as old as rburg, Charlie, Onomea or anyone else. (Hehe!) ;.)
If this really means anything to you, forget about 20K posts, you better get a life now.

Ahhh. But I'm not a Senior Member..
And...while many figure my posts are trash, at least I'm not usually at a loss for words. That's a nice way of saying I waste more bandwidth than my meager post count would indicate!

I'm not worthy ...
I hope no offense was taken, Dick. While you certainly have a large ... uh, post count, I would never attribute that to "padding" or "racking up" the numbers. I always enjoy what you have to say ... er, write, anyway.

Boy!
I'm sure glad somebody got that cleared up!
All this time I thought I had gotten it because of my AARP gold card?
