Lord Obama and other confident guys in nice suits sat down today and decided to lower the temperature of the planet earth. I'm sitting here at home with clogged sineses gobblin' pills like chicklets and I wonder, "If you can change the planet by talking about it, why don't you try curing my cold first?"

Well they're not just talking about it. This energy bill () that went through the house would cut emissions buy a good percentage over the next few years. If others at this summit do the same, cutting emissions and all that, then they can calculate how much of an impact the decreased pollutants and greenhouse emissions will effect the temperature of the earth.

Providing man is a contributing factor to global warming... which of course is the question that can't be answered.

I guess they should have a big ol' * next to that statement....

I live in California and i don't like the fact national election results are already settled by the time we get to the polls. Maybe Obama can change the rotation of the earth, so we can get a headstart on the elections for a change.

Imagine how Hawaii must feel! It has to be a reason why some folks out west don't vote. Why vote if they're already calling the race? But then again... they were calling the election at midnight election day... since one small town in... wherever is the first to vote, and their results have represented the country in the outcome of the election for the past however many elections.

How can Wheelgunner be wrong about something your not even sure about yourself? I, for one, do not beleive for a minute that man has anything to do with the temperature of this planet. One volcano erupting puts more **** into the atmosphere than man has in our entire existance on this planet. So do those wild fires out west. China and India are billowing 100s of times more pollutants into the air then we are, and they aren't being controlled. You, on the other hand must change your way of life while algore jets around the planet screaming that the sky is falling, the ice caps are melting, and the polar bears are drowning. What a joke!

The earth's temperature has been going up and down for BILLIONS of years. Long before man drove cars or used hair spray.
I'm old enough to remember in the 1970s when the younger version of today's United Nations Scientists predicted that the polar ice caps were going to freeze over, covering the whole earth.
Only problem was, they couldn't make any money off that theory. This time they are going for the big buck no matter what.
Just goes to show how easily people can be manipulated by the media.

The cap-and-trade global "warming" bill should be titled the "We invented something else to tax" bill. It will cost every man, woman and child in the U.S. hundreds of dollars per year. I'm getting sick of these bozos. Now the scientists are predicting cooling of the planet for at least the next decade. In the next election let's throw them all out, and start over by electing rational people for a change. But don't get me started....

The only thing the legislation can guarantee is every man, woman and child having forced air heat. This of course will be caused by the politicians ceaselessly running their mouths. If they'd STFU, the worlds temperature would drop 5 degree's in 6 months!
