Wow, Just wow. Where do we find them? 71 and 66 and acting out like crackheads. They are lost. They are a sign of the times.

IMO my grandmother is the best cook in the world and every time I eat at her house it doesn't matter how good the food is my grandfather will find something to complain about, I'm honestly suprised she hasn't beat him to death in his sleep yet.

I get one free pass with each different food my girl makes. The first time she makes something, she'll ask what I think... THAT is the only time I'm allowed to honestly say what I think of it.
Once I OK something.... I can't complain.
.... this is made even more difficult by the fact that my girlfriend is a VEGAN. Yep.. she doesn't eat meat.. or dairy... any animal products.
Surprisingly, the stuffed shells that she makes is my favorite ever! I never would have thought that you could make very good tasting "cheese" out of... TOFU!
Luckily though, she has no issues with me eating meat.

Detroit circa 1962:
A man brings a male guest home for dinner in the city. Dessert is a home-made peach pie. The wife asks her husband "How you like my pie, baby?" "I've had better.", he says. "How 'bout you?", she says to the guest." "I guess I had better pie in my day." says the guest.
The wife stepped out of the dining room and fetched a .38. "Blap, blap", said the .38, and "blap, blap" again. Two diners off to the morgue where peach pie is not on the menu. The shooter is off to prison, where who-knows-what will be for dinner.
Just another mealtime in Detroit, the city where it doesn't pay to tell the truth, 'cause you know what's coming if you hurt someone's feeling. Especially the cook's.

Sometimes my wife will bring me home an MRE from the commissary. I always look forward to that since the irradiated food like goop contained with in represents quite a treat compared to anything that my wife would prepare.

No one has ever complained about my wife's cooking, but then she has never cooked.
