Very nice pictures!
Never seen this before, even on the nature programs on TV!
Any idea what the nest is made of, doesn't look like the normal twigs, grass or straw?
Almost looks like some sort of spider web or something similar.

Nice picture. I had some nesting in my yard many years ago. I don't think a quarter would fit in the nest.
I have only seen a few this year at the other place where I usually see 6 to 8 always fighting. They have over half a football field of flowers to get nectar.

Love hummingbirds. We have several feeders and several visitors.
Interestingly, we have a favorite uncle who is a pretty good photographer. Once he was taking video pic's of a group of wild flowers being worked over by honey bees and, quite by accident, got some great video of a pure white, pink eyed, albino hummingbird! Really neat!
