The only two guns I have that could qualify..... The nicest 1903 I've ever seen (that I all but stole from Cabelas). And my, custom built by me, Fusion LS in .38 super. Hard chrome with black nickle appointments.

I can sort of get the drift...I can see that they sometimes tend to be over-the-top, or ornate, even rococco, or (dare I say it) pimpish, at least the more highly engraved or flashy specimens, or maybe it is more Sunday-Go-to-Meeting fancy...help me understand this phenomenon, and how it came to be....
not being judgmental here, I have a couple which might qualify, i love to take them out and fondle them, but don't shoot them much...

Well Sir,

For lack of a better term, most the men folk I know carry a sidearm for work or sport just about everyday. When we all get together for a little ice cream social or maybe some B-B-Q Brisket or Ribs, trimmings and southern sweet iced tea we wear our favorite handguns.

You never know when a friendly shootin' match might break-out down by the corral.
And a little money might change hands as well. I'll tell ya a good time is always had by all.

So sometime give it a try...

Su Amigo,
Dave

Default Bar B Q rig

This may not qualify as a Bar B Q gun, but it's what I got, if I ever get invited to go to a Bar B Q. A 6" mod.27-2 nickle. wearing grips borrowed from another 27, until I get a proper set for it, Ivory, ebony, or such. The leather is an old George Lawrence, modified to fit.

Don't have a picture of this one with the leather, but it looks just like Iggy's above. We both got 'em from a high-end leather craftsman!

Between the guns and holsters from that "high end craftsman," there's been a giant sucking sound from the money leaving SE Wyoming a headed for that feller's sock.

He's a thinkin' about moving out here. Maybe we'll get a chaince to git even.
