Penetrating Lubricants
I've tried a few penetrating lubricants over the years for stuck screws and I haven't been impressed. WD40 I like but not for stuck screws. Liquid wrench has worked at times and in firearm applications Kroil has always been good.
Well I was trying to remove an old truck bumper and nothing worked. An old friend who is a collision man told me about PB blaster and said it was all he used. Well I hosed the bolts down the night before and the next morning before I went at it and it worked great.
Next time was on a stuck stock screw on which I had tried the previous oils. I have an old Santa Fe Jungle carbine that I've never been able to get the stock screw off of. I did a days worth of soaking with the PB Blaster and it came right off! This is the same screw that wouldn't budge with an impact driver! I am sold on this stuff.

So many jokes to resist...
I can't remember the name of the best one I've used. Yellow and white can I believe? It will either loosen a bolt or completely dissolve it, but stinks to high heaven.
It may just be PB Blaster now that I picture it...

Automatic transmission fluid works very very well as a penitrating oil.

This stuff works for me. Sometimes I have to put some on, leave it, and put some more on and let it set a while. And I don't own any stock in the company.

We used to use ATF to clean our M-60s and M2s. If they were real bad we'd cut the ATF with diesel fuel. I still often use ATF for a light wipe down of my firearms.

Which of the PB Blaster products did you use that was so good? They make several.

Kroil.
The creeping oil.
If not available, Liquid Wrench works darn well.
It was the only thing that worked to loosen some rusted engine bolts on an old Troy Bilt tiller that had been out in the weather for ten years, so I could put on a new engine. It still took two weeks, as I didn't want to break off the bolts in the frame.

Our dept. uses Miltech oil....when it heats up from shooting, it bonds to the metal...so even if you can't see it, it's still working...

I recently picked up an old topbreak that was a little tight. I soaked iot in PB Blaster, and when it was time to clean it off I ran a patch down the bore with it just for the heck of it. It actually took off most of the darkness and made the bore look better than I originally thought it would be. And the gun loosened up nicely too.

PB Blaster is good stuff. Imagine, if you will, a truck with 1.3 million miles and 13 winters on it. PB Blaster is a good friend of mine.

Kroil is an outstanding penetrating oil. I also use it to clean rifles after shooting moly coated bullets - it removes the excess moly.

I have been using Kroil for a couple of months for cleaning. I got an old (really old) Browning Auto-5 a few weeks ago and it needs some serious rehab. I'm trying the Kroil to get the stub of the broken-off action spring tube out of the receiver. I'll let you know in a few weeks how it went. Does anyone know of a source for "new-old-stock" parts for this gun?

Kroil to get thru the rust etc, then Break Free when ready to turn/loosen.......works like a charm, Kroil has little lube in it, so the Break Free is needed
this combo has removed many old rusty Land Cruiser parts, never had to use a torch

I gave my gun shop buddy a can of Kroil a year ago, he gets lots of old rusty ****(evidence guns) in the shop, well he had one gun that he had been trying for YEARS to get a screw out of, impact didn't move it, no other penetrate did it, so he has been hiting it with Kroil on/off.........yesterday he was so excited "it came out"
