Default Lighting can strike twice

Ok, so last week I go to see my friend who owns the gunshop literally around the corner from where I live. I have received info from a city in the DFW area north of me regarding a break in of some storage buildings and stolen were three (3) firearms. Good descriptions, brand, model, caliber, serial numbers for all three.

I normally share this with my pawn shops and my friend because I believe extra eyes are a good thing.

While I am given him the information, he just grins. I ask him "What's the deal?". He motions over to the back case and there low and behold are 8 or 9 nickled LNIB S&W revolvers. "Go ahead and pick em up, see how they feel."

Heartless he is, I tell you. He knows exactly what he is doing.

Now I am tapped out right now having just acquired a Colt New Service that I think is a former New York State Troopers 45 Colt revolver.

He has no shame. "For you I'll cut some slack, and you can just put one back if you want."

OK just only one, damn I want all nine. Anyway I put a gorgeous, nickled Model 15-4 Combat Masterpiece 4" barrel, with box, tools, etc, back for $550.00. Maybe a little over the top but is really is LNIB.

So I go in today, am starting my vacation, going to Colorado next week, to visit Coors Field, visit some wineries, hang out, have fun, etc, etc.

He grins as I walk in. Now mind you, I am just going in to say hi, hang out for few minutes, there is nothing better than chillin' in a gun shop with nice folks and good conversation.

He is soooooo cruel. "See what I got yesterday!"

He pulls from the same display case, ( I think there is there may be some voodoo with that case) a primo Model 17, 22 LR, K22, 6" barrel, blue steel, with box, and screwdriver. Inside the box lining the bottom is a newpaper from the Chicago American dated in June 1962.

I was helpless, it's not my fault, I sooo caved in. In a clear and commanding voice, "Damn, put it back, I'll take it."

He tells me $575.00.

So if anyone wants to give me - - - sorry, just a thought.

I am so happy to get these two I can't stand it. Now to just pay for them.

That wouldn't have happened to me....because I already have both of them. Some of the others might be a different stroy though.

Talking

I know what you mean. I sold a roll of Morgan Dollars to buy TWO Mod 17's one week.

The SKS's, Mossburg's and a cheap AK went when a bunch of NIB N frames showed up at my dealers shop.

That payin' thing IS the hard part!

If there was a rehab.... WE WOULDN'T GO!!!
