Default Haven't had a BP pistol thread in a bit...

Ok, let me start one.

And, I'll throw in a picture of some of my "non Sam Colt" brand pattern guns, just to start.

Top: Remington Beals .36 (Traditions/Pietta)
Next: Remington "Sheriff's Model" .44 (Traditions/Pietta)
Next: Rogers & Spencer .44 (Dixie Gun Works/Euroarms)
Next: Dance & Brothers .44 (Pietta/ Traditions?)
Lastly: Spiller & Burr .36 (Pietta/Traditions)

Of all of them I shoot, I like the Dance and the Rogers & Spencer the best. The R&S is a bit odd to use, as it has the shortest hammer throw and the heaviest spring of any of them, and the largest grip. It is comfortable to shoot, and I have discovered that the Dance is the most accurate one I own, bar none.

I went to the range today to get ready for a black powder shoot we're having next weekend.

I gave, sold or traded away the rest that I had, but still have this one. In theory maybe I'll restore it one day. It's an old Cooper DA that dates back to the ACW I believe. It was hanging on a wall in a little private museum and was for sale, so I bought it. Shrug. Least ways it isn't something that you see every day.

This is a Francotte Adams revolver in .31
It is well made and very luxery. It is made somwhere around 1855.
It is a beauty.
