Actually, CBS reports on casualties very often.

I agree with the point that Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks and many people protested the war for that reason.

Iraq is fixing to come totally unglued.

At one point we nearly had Iran between a rock and a hard place. We are now standing on that hard place and Iran is holding the rock over our heads.

Without true leadership in our country, this will not go well for our troops or the residents of that region.

I agree that factually that was the case. It was a lack of communication by teh White House for the multiple causes of the war. Had we failed to act the consequences would have been terrible. People like to forget that Saddam had a 20 year history of supporting terrorism.

I think that if the White House was more straightforward with why we were going to war with Iraq instead of trying to link it to 9/11, the war would have had more support.

I remember watching the news hoping they would find those WMDs... cause I saw real early on where it was all going...

The White House was straightforward. And everyone expected to find WMDs. And they did.
Again, Saddam had a long history of supporting terrorism. The mastermind of the Achille Lauro was among the first to be picked up when the U.S. invaded.
This was a global war on terrorism. It didnt matter whether the terrorism was linked to 9/11 directly or not. The idea was to take out those regimes that supported and abetted terrorism and Saddam's was top on the list.
