Anyone have rust on their Shooboy Gunsmithing Hammer ???
Just a quick message to let everyone know that if they have experienced any rusting on their Shooboy Gunsmithing Hammer due to leaving the natural steel finish unprotected, that you can send it back to me for a FREE upgrade to a black oxide finish. The black oxide looks great and will eliminate the need for oil or rust preventative on your Shooboy. This would apply to the following Model Shooboys; Standard, Ultimate, Smoothie, and Pro Model. Send your Shooboys back to me if you'd like at:
Randy Schue
945 Guinevere Dr.
Rochester, NY 14626
Thanks, Shoo

Damn Shoo...
That's mighty generous of you!
My Standard has a tiny bit of rust on the handle...but nothing that won't rub off with a Scotch-Brite pad and a little WD-40...I ain't worried about it.
I'm sending you something else though...we discussed it a few months ago.
Thanks.

I'm with G-Mac, mighty generous of you. But I can't just let go of my Ultimate for an EBH (evil black hammer)!
No rust here, if it does, I can handle it like G-Mac. Just in case, I put a coat of Ren. wax on it.
Thanks, Shoo....

Shoo, I did see a couple of spots of rust when I was using mine just a couple of days ago, but it's not enough to bother me. I cleaned it up easily and can do so again if this tiny problem resurfaces.
Generous offer, though. And it is a great hammer.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate your responses and kind words. I'm moving towards only offering blackened hammers in the future to avoid any concerns with needing to protect the surfaces from oxidation. That's a standing offer I made also, send your hammer back if you have any problem at all with it.
Hey bmhiii, I like it, EBH, Evil Black Hammer !!! LOL !

Hey Shoo! You mean my "Orange" ShooBoy Custom Gunsmithing Hammers?
I thought they were just morphing toward the color of the carpet in the gun safe!
I throw them in the safe when not hammering the wife with them. No problems here buddy!! rags

Shoo, any chance you can make one with a mounting rail on it? I might buy an EBH if I could mount some cool tactical gear on it!
I need a percent of the take for coming up with the idea...
On a serious note, shooboy hammers are above first class. And handmade in the good ole' U S of A.
