Accurate fixed sighted guns...
What's your most accurate fixed sighted gun? There are only a few in my collection, for a reason....
I'm a accuracy nerd. Fixed sighted guns just don't allow me the ability to shoot well at various ranges. I hate Kentucky windage, hold overs, and having to regulate a guns sights.
All that said, I have a fixed 32 H&R magnum that is my second favorite gun. It's a absolute tack driver in my hands. I can shoot it one handed, weak handed, ...you name it, and it does better for me then any of my target sighted guns...
Go figure...
So I'm just curious if any of you have a few fixed sighted guns that you feel the same way about?

Hey, I had a Ruger 4.6" SS BHG .32, also known as a SSM, for a couple of years. Like my .357 & .45 Vaquero BHGs, it shot low 1" and left 1.5"+ at 12 yd! I got a 4" SP-101 in .32 - adjustable in windage-only, not elevation. The worst attribute of the pair was their max-sized chamber ID - which 'worked' the little brass as I reloaded, yielding short brass life - and tough for poppers removal of the spent cartridges. Fun - but the bullets got hard to find - and as dear as .38s - which are easier to find, have more platforms available here, and, even wimpy ones drop the steel plates at the range. Happily Ruger-free - and .32-less - nowadays. Okay, I still have a collection of 1895 Nagants...
My fixed sight S&Ws, a 2" 10, 4" 64, 2.5" 296, and ~2" 642, all hit 'on the money' for windage - and can be tuned, by changing ammo, to hit POA at 12yd. More importantly, they are very close at 7 yd with their chosen defense loads. Certainly within minute-of-BG, all they need to be.
Stainz
PS That 4" 64 is a heck of a plinker at 12-25yd with my 125gr JHPs at ~900 fps.

my "RUFF" all stock SW Model 65 4" police beater trade in I bought broke for $125 and fixed for around $15 is nicely accurate.
I recently shot a 498/500 in a LEO service revolver competition. All shots were unsupported from varying distances 5-25 yds on a standard B27 target. I mainly use reloads, but did not have time to reload, so I used a box of match wadcutter ammo.
I have wanted to get a "better" revolver, but I will focus my $$$ elsewhere and keep this one.

"For all practical purposes".....ALL my fixed sight guns are more accurate than I am. SASS match distances with large close targets have not demonstrated any need for adjustable sights for me.
Speed steel small targets at up to 40-50' are my performance guides.
What satisfies most of my accuracy needs, is if while standing I can run the 6" falling plates at 25 yards a couple times w/o a miss. Then, if I can get it on the paper targets in something of a recognizable group rather than a pattern....
If I can't keep 'em in the A zone usually it's *ME* not the sights.
My 50+ yard targets at the range require bench rest AND a spotting scope to verify shot placement. If I need a scope to see the holes, I probably can't hold on the target good enough for consistent hits anyway.
I don't do 'tack driving' these days....laser surgery has left certain side effects.

My 442 Airweight and my 640 both are on the money at 9 yds, can do one-holers offhand. I did have to replace the front sight on the 640 and then file it down to POI. I'm about 1" low now @ 9 yds with .38 +P and right on with Gold Dots so guess I will leave it there.

This 4" HB M10 shoots to POA at 25 yards with several of my reloads, both 158 SWC and 158 JHP.

I traded for a early 3rd gen Colt SAA in 44 Special. With my handload I use in my 24-3's, the Colt will shoot to point of aim at 25 yards. It is the most accurate fixed sight gun I own.

I have a Ruger .32 Magnum just like your that is pictured but in stainless. It shoots like a laser.
I also have a 4 inch mdl 10HB that was a police trade in that is worn on the outside but is slick as they get on the inside. It is scary accurate with any 38spl ammo.

Well Giz, I reckon it would be this S&W model 10 with 158 grain ammo.
But then again this 1937 Colt Official Police .22 l.r. ain't too bad either.

C & L your revolvers and photography are top notch!
Giz this Ruger 357 shoots point of aim with 158gr LSWC cowboy loads, and nothing else.
The H&R seems to do well if I'm just close to the "point of aim".

I have a Ruger Bisley Single-Six that is pretty phenomenal. Rumor has it that the fixed sight Bisley SS, not being designed to shoot 22 Mag or shipped with that cylinder, had a different barrel truer to bore diameter for a .22LR. It is quite easy to knock down .22 rifle silhouette rams at 50 yards with it...well, with a bit of a rest on the knees or braced against a post. On a good day (bright light!) I can usually get 4, sometimes all 5, with six shots.
