Default 2 piece barrels...

Which current models are fitted with these, and which are not?

My best, Walt

Just look at the thing. If it doesn't look like a steel barrel with underlug and/or ejector shroud, it probably isn't. The only guns I know for sure have 2-piece barrels are the PD and NG series. Excellent guns, by the way. I know of nothing wrong with them, despite what's going on in that goofy "Buyer Beware" thread.

My question had nothing to do with that post, I just wondered which models were so equipped.

I know there's at least one PC gun with it, the 7.5 inch 629 with removable compensator.

The 619 and 620 have the two-piece barrel. My 686+, a close cousin of those two revolvers, does not. S&W appears to be headed toward all two-piece as it comes out with new/replacement models.

Cordially, Jack
