Nice score for $300!
The SCSW serial number listing shows '61-'62 numbers ranging from C474149-C622699. My best guess would be fairly early '61 for DOB. My 2" M12 also has a C476xxx serial number.

I can tell you that you got a real deal. I would say
about $100 to $150 below market. Don

I can also tell you for that flat latch you really got a good deal. You also got one heck of a carry gun. The model 12
s are very cool little guns.

Thanks for the info guys. I may have got it for a bit less than $300. I bought this along with a Colt Frontier Scout in 22LR with a F suffix serial number which should make it an early 60's pistol if I looked it up correctly. The guy wanted $350 for the Colt and $300 for the Mod 12. I got both for $550. I like the Mod 12 so much I dumped a Beretta Tomcat today to keep the 12.

Well I took my boy out for some shooting time yesterday and figured it would be a great time to try out the Mod. 12
I also had a few others I havent shot yet including a Glock 27, compared to it the Mod 12 was an absolute pleasure to shoot. I wish now I would have also took a pre-27 I picked up a few months back.
I never looked to much at the Smiths, especially the revolvers but since I found these two I will be watching and also posting questions for you guys..
Thanks, Eric

$550 for both is a screamin deal. Both are great guns.
