He has a wonderful smile.

Here is Kodiak. He is only a 4 year old Siberian Husky, be he is already working on the fine art of power napping! He has no shame!

Bailey looks like a very happy pup guarding those punkins

It's been almost two months since our last lab Mindy (my avatar) suddenly passed at only 4 years old......my heart still aches. She was a good one.

When the time is right, I'm gonna hook up with the local lab rescue and and have a new friend adopt me.

My avatar is of Kodiak. We lost him at 14 1/2 just over a year ago. Yes, I know the dog in the picture above is also named Kodiak, but he already had that name when we got him just a few weeks after his namesake passed away. There is a special place in heaven for dog lovers, especially for those who rescue them. All of our dogs (5 at the moment) were rescued from shelters throughout Missouri... the puppy mill capitol of the country!

Nice critters you all have there,
unfortunatly me and my family are allergic to furry animals
so we got these fellars instead.

Since you got your pets doing the roll on the back thing, thought I would show you my best friend, Roy D. Mule in one of his better moments.

Scott, you are a good person..we should all get our pups from rescue shelters or organizations.

After Hurricane Katrina, I went down to N.O. and did animal search and rescue for 10 days. It was a life changing experience in so many ways and now I would only get my pups and kitties from rescue organizations.

Thank you for sharing the love with those in need.

Here are my two girls (Zoe and Jessie) both rescues.

Not that there is anything wrong with that..
I had a choc. lab and had to give him away after hurricane katrina...didnt have room for him...he's in a great home but i still miss him..Bailey was his dad and we had a black lab female that we had put down because of cancer about 1 1/2 yrs ago, she was his mom.she was a sweetheart.I have had Bailey since he was about 8 wks old.

Scott,
Just a few weeks ago we adopted a replacement for our late (pancreatic cancer) black & tan mutt, who was a rescue dog as well. The new one came from American Cocker Spaniel rescue, they do the same puppy mill rescue activities you described here in Washington state.
Yes my friend, there is a special place for engaging in the program I'm sure! BTW my Wife and I describe the laying on the back, sound asleep, with the toothy grin exposed the "dead gopher".
Spookiest part of the deal? The new 2 1/2 YOA black Cocker and the black and tan he replaced had the same name.
