Default Advice please

I just ordered some Buffalo Bore .38 Spl ammo and, by mistake, ordered the "heavy +P" 158 gr. Muzzle velocity is 1000fps and energy is 351ft/lbs. The Revolvers I have are a 1981 vintage, Model 36-3" and a pre model 15, 4". Both, of course, are steel construction. Will this stuff damage my guns ??? BB says "only for modern guns"..
I meant to get the lesser stuff they have, but goofed....

S&W rates it's .38 Special revolvers stamped with model numbers in the crane cutout as suitable for +P ammunition.

It should not hurt your M36 as that is "modern", but your pre-M15 is not recommended for +P. If it was an emergency and only that ammo is available, then sure, it will handle it. A steady diet is not recommended.

The only real concern is what condition your HAND will be in after firing a quantity of these cartridges in an M36.

Thank you so much for your help.I bought the ammo for self defense only while general practice will be done with lesser stuff. I will shoot a few "just for the fun of it" from the 36...
