Default Model 19-4?

I looked at this gun today and almost traded for it. The gun is six in.very tight by examining it can't even tell it has been shot. Finish is perfect other than a tiny nick at end of barrel. My question is what is it worth? I'm thinking of trading a super nice Browning shotgun pump, but have to kick in a little extra to trade. Thanks.

I don't know the value of your shotgun, but I'd figure a -4 6" M19 should sell for about $400, + - $25.

At least that's what I'd be willing to pay for one if I really wanted it

At nice model 19 in California goes for $500.00 to $600.00. I would say its worth taking a look.

Good luck,

The Midwest is pretty middle of the road on prices, and I haven't seen a "nice" model 19 pinned & recessed for less than $500 in nearly a year. The 6" usually brings a little less than a 4", and the 2 1/2" the most.

Mr. HRichard's comments are pretty much right on for my area (MidWest US).

The six inch model doesn't seem to bring as much, which could work to your advantage if you prefer the longer barrel. You might guesstimate that the M19 is worth $400 to $450, for the purpose of evaluating what it is worth vis-a-vis your shotgun.

I really don't know shotgun values. You should check both on-line and at local gunshops to see what a Browning Pump goes for. Could be that your Browning is worth his M19 plus some cash, rather than vice-versa.
