Thumbs up Shotgun Value

Hi all,
As a new S&W member I thank everyone for the welcome, and will visit often.
Got a question for anyone,I was given a 16 Gauge double Barreled Valiant Shotgun with a patent of 1915. This is one person who hasn't even heard the name Valiant, and would like to have some info on this Shotgun if possible,is it a good gun, worth the keep, and value if possible?.
Cannot find anything on the net for this named gun, always been a S&W man myself, and of course several other named guns.

Thanks very much,
Shadrach.

If you go up to the top menu and click on FAQ and then search on tags, the third entry will pretty much explain the whole thing to you.

Welcome to the forums.

Valiant was the firearms "store brand" of Spears & Company, a department store in Pittsburgh. Most store brands represented very basic weapons. These were all made by the major makers, though, so they were competent when new. I'm not sure Spears & Company survived the depression.
