Nope... the wife knows it may give me ideas for buying more weaponry... and not much makes her happier than that.

I didn't want to hear any grief about it so I only told my husband I'm on this forum about eight months ago (actually right before we went out to meet up with Lynn). Good thing Lee rolled back the odometer!

We were sitting on the porch talking about guns and cartridges and finally I said, "Um, I have a little confession to make. One of the reasons I know so much about guns is that I go on the Smith & Wesson forum." He sat there for a minute and then said, "And...?" "And, uh, actually, I'm one of the moderators." He seemed pretty relieved to find out that's all it was and was pretty cool about it.

He's adapted pretty well, as long as I don't spend too much time online. I try to restrict it to my morning coffee time, while I'm at work, and an hour in the evenings. Otherwise, he gets crabby.

Mine told me that if I QUIT coming here she was going to leave me.
Since we've actually known each other for 40+ years (though only married 22 of them) I took her at her word.
It would seem that this place, reloading, and me working nights are the only reasons she can still stand me? That and, and the fact that I put the seat down and can cook...

Barb, you've done an amazing job of training him.

My solution to the question first asked was to arrange for myself to be single and happy again.

Ah yes.............the infamous post count crash of 2009. ( Y )

Hey, if she doesn't like it she can always go home. Ahhhh, one of the REALLY GREAT THINGS about being single and not living together. And if she is in one of her snooping (Pissy) moods all I have to do is go to "TOOLS" then "INTERNET OPTIONS" and clear the history, cookies and TIF's. Come to think of it, that is a part of my daily regime.

Honestly she could care less. As long as she gets her weekly date night out of dinner, dancing and/or a movie she's as happy as a clam. There are advantages to dating someone who was born and lived behind the "Iron Curtain" (Lithuania) for her first 24 years. A little goes a long way.

My sweet wife totally doesn't get it. For her, all guns are alike, and all bullets are alike. So she just rolls her eyes and says, "glad it isn't porn". I will say that she is the one who encouraged me to get my CCH. She manages some property and had a drunk cop put a gun to her head several years ago. She totally supported me when I bought my SW40VE because it was more concealable than my 4" .357 revolver. What a gal!

+1 Lynnie! But, if I were married, I'd be totally happy to see my hubby spending time on this site. Even if I weren't into guns. Although I'm single and can do what I like, I admire those of you who are married and are both interested in guns and shooting. Hobbies and past-times are always more enjoyable when you can share them with someone special. I smile whenever I see a guy in the lgs with his wife/gf, looking for the right gun for her. Who needs porn when you have the Smith-wesson forum!

My first wife wanted to have sex with other men ,and I didn't.

Lost my second wife in a trade for a registered Magnum.

Been looking for #3 for a while now, but the prospects aren't great, unless she's a shooter.

i think Mistys pretty cool, but she's probably already received 150 marriage proposals from guys younger and prettier than me.

Good luck and watch your top knot ,Allen Frame

Usually depends on how much I'm on, that's how she gages when I'm about to buy another Smith. I'm usually on the cpu/forum a couple hours a day. When I get a little green on me and start looking for...whatever.. in earnest, pm' ing here, e-mail there, counterin that offer, etc... my forum time usually goes up to about 4 - 6 hours a day. That's when she starts trying to 'redirect' my attention to other things, like...oil that chair, let's go visit my parents, fix that window...she says it's child psycology.
