Default Hogue Wooden grips?

Hey Folks. Let me start by saying I have large hands, and would like to try a set of wooden grips on my 4566.. Has anyone tried the Hogue grips and if so how do the sizes run?

I tried the search on this BUT it didn't work out.. Thanks, Jim

I had a set of Hogue wood grips for my 4516 and it added definite girth to the grip. I measured the grips and they are about a quarter inch in thickness at the widest point. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

I put a set of Hogue wood grips on my 5906, shortly after I bought it new, and it made the grips too big for my small hands.

It was really a pity, because they were beautiful grips, and not nearly as expensive as they are now, even considering inflation.

If you have large hands, I would say: buy a set. You have many choices of the types of wood available. Some are considerably more expensive than others.
