Default +P ammo in Model 14-4

I read somewhere that if you see the frame and model number on the frame inside where the crane pivots then is is OK to use +P ammo in your S&W revolver. I have a model 14-4 three-screw with a pinned barrel SN 9K09**. Is what I have read correct regarding use of +P .38 special ammo in a revolver such as mine?

Yes, and I hope the answers stay short. When they start running pages long for a single post, then a lot of misinformation gets included.

Wink +P

I always use +P .38 Spl. in all of my .38 revolvers, even if it's not specified for +P........ even in my M-67 (1976). There's a thread around here someplace, about the use of +P ammo. If I had a Smith that was 50+ y.o., I might not use +P. Bob
