Default Did Sherlock Holmes lady friend use a Ladysmith?

A lot of gunfire in the current movie... no wonder the Brits have outlawed handguns!

I haven't seen the movie yet but they are showing a few on the movie gun database. Rachel McAdams is firing some sort of spur trigger revolver

Sherlock Holmes - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database

Hey, thanks... I had no idea there was a data base for this & it was hard to see with the fast action & powder smoke (if that's what you were looking at)!

Yes indeed. Rachel McAdams is very easy on the eyes
One of the chick flicks I never mind watching with my wife is the
Notebook. Very good scenes even if there are no guns

The movie gun database is very cool but just like wikipedia anyone can go in and edit it so there are mistakes. On the page for the movie "Tombstone" someone erroniously stated that Kate was using a Colt Storkeepers Lightning revolver when it is actually very obviously not. I went in and edited it saying that that was wrong and someone else tried to argue with me. It's a little annoying to me that they haven't changed it yet because I put down to links that state what the actual gun is.

The one thing that shows up quite clearly is the Howdah pistol breech loader...

Sherlock Holmes - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database

is shotgun shells in the breech. Yet all the stuff I can find indicates other than shot shells, like African rifle calibers...

I know this is likely a prop gun, unable to fire live ammo... or did somebody pay the ATF tax...
