New MP15-22 owner
Hello to all! Brett here,
Just picked up my MP15-22 yesterday and haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet but have had time to add some furniture to it.
I sure hope that my time spent with the 15-22 isn't fraught with some of the issues I've read about here.
So anyway, without further ado:

I guess it's good they are light to start with ....
Real ACOG or fake? How do you like it?

Fake, I wouldn't put a $1500 scope on a sub $500 gun. Not that I don't want the real deal, but not for this one.
The scope is pretty well made, I mean it's just a red dot in a fancy look alike wrapper.. Don't think I'd hang it on a Barret!

No it's from an Airsoft manufacturer. I have a fairly high end airsoft M4 that these parts belong to and wouldn't think of transferring them to a .223 or 5.56 but they should hold up fine on this plinker.
Now if I had an ACOG sitting on an AR, sure I'd swap it over to the plinker.
*edit* I checked out the optic that you referenced, it's also an airsoft optic. I paid MUCH less for the one I have ($76.00 or so)

TG,
The cheek rest is a Crane conversion made by Echo1 (another airsoft part) it's made of fiber reinforced nylon so it doesn't feel "cheap" and that's also an Echo1 LE stock and a regular AR LE stock butt pad.

Not sure... I haven't tried to see of the crane conversion fits on the LE stock that comes on the M&P, I just swapped it out since I had it handy.
Tell ya what, I'm going to see if it fits on the Smith stock, I will post back here in 15 mins or so and will post up a photo for you.
*edit* ok, the parts DO fit... I am uploading photos of the step by step process and I will just make a new thread called "Crane Stock Conversion for Smith LE Stock" or something to that effect. I will post the step by step photos.

Thanks Brett. I really like the look of your weapon. Tell us where you got the sling.

I believe I got the sling from Airsoft Guns SHORTY USA but there are many sites on the net that have it. It's a "UTG Tactical Sling"
