Talking You can’t make this stuff up…

My dear wife asked to go to the pistol range. I packed up a couple .22 revolvers, a 28-2 and some ammo and away we went. She did very well and had fun. That’s not the part that’s hard to believe.

She needed gas in her car, so we stopped on the way home. I got out and pumped. That shouldn’t be hard to believe either.

There was a car fueling at the next gas pump that was professionally decaled, “Jeffrey Sh?? Democratic Candidate State Senate”. I believe it was a recent model Monte Carlo. Each rear quarter panel had a decal that read, “Propane Powered”. When I got back in the car I said, “Look honey, a propane powered democrat”. She replied, “… and he just filled up with gasoline“. We had a good laugh over that! I wish I had my camera.

You're probably right. It would be an awfully stupid lie, but I‘ve learned not to underestimate them. It did strike us as funny.

Sounds like the safe bet Chad.
Never overestimating their intelligence.
And never underestimating their hunger for power!

Maybe Al Gore has invented a process to convert gasoline to propane.

Don't forget, his name is properly written "AlGore" with no space between the names. (All the space is actually between his ears)

It is pronounced as one word also. Similar to the way the artist formerly known as Prince did his name a few years back.

Dual fuel propane is generally starts as a diesel.

So I think he was blowing smoke and not propane smoke

My pickup runs on either CNG or gasoline, and with a slight adjustment and a change of tanks, could be propane and gasoline. The conversion isn't cheap, though. I doubt a Dem ponied up the bux to convert a Monte Carlo to dual-fuel. You'd be better off, money and "green" wise, to just buy a Corrolla.

The first sentence of your post makes me a little suspicious.

I couldn’t believe it either, but it‘s the truth. She showed little interest in shooting rifles or handguns I the past and I didn’t push it. She was fairly active in shotgun sports, hunting waterfowl and shooting skeet and trap with me. He dad and her brothers have shot and hunted for years, so she grew up with the right attitude.

She actually called it a “date night” and wants to do it regularly. Naturally, I get to clean them and they’re soaking in appropriate solvents, even as I type. Guess which was her favorite and will likely be claimed? The other photo is my wife and her brothers and sister some decades ago. How many guns do you count there?

In the 50's I worked on some farms where butane was a popular fuel. Tractors, other equipment, pickups, and a few cars had butane tanks. You just flip a switch and went from butane to regular gasoline.

Butane burned much, much cleaner than the gasoline. Showed in the engine oil. Gasoline burners had black engine oil, the butane burners oil stayed almost the same color as it was out of the can (no plastic bottles back then) with the same mileage.

You get better gas mileage if you just put the propane powered decals on and keep running a gas engine.
