Positive Experience
I have had a Kahr P9 Covert(short frame with full size slide/barrel) for several years. Mine has been 100% reliable and shoots much better than I would have expected from such a small and light pistol. It serves as the smallest pistol I will carry as a primary arm. I have a MK9 also that has been equally reliable and shootable. It is a heavy little pistol but is a pleasure to shoot. Based on my experience with the pistols, I am very happy with the Kahr design. I know there are those who are negative about these pistols but I am not one of those people. I have had a couple other Kahrs, a MK40 and a P45, that also worked well. So far as the "Moonie" issue with the designer, Justin Moon, I couldn't care less about that.

I have a Kahr CW 45; have only put a couple of magazines through it. Worked fine. I am a little put off by the company saying it won't be fully reliable until you put 200 rounds through it, though. With the price of .45 ACP ammo being what it is today, that's a big price for reliability. You also have to be careful to release the slide from the slide lock, not by hand on the slide - otherwise the round may not chamber properly. The disassembly index marks are on the wrong side of the gun. Pushing out the slide stop, requiring tapping it out from the right side (requiring you to see the right side as you do it) when the marks are on the left side is bad engineering. Quirky. Also the pistol ships with only one magazine, and an extra magazine is pricey. At any rate, I bought it as a lightweight .45 defense gun. I think I prefer my Springfield Armory V10, now that I have both. The double action pull on the Kahr is very nice, but nothing beats the SA pull of a properly tuned 1911 type.

I have a Kahr PM9. It's a nice reliable pocket 9.
I'm probably approaching 1K JHP rounds through it with no problems.

I've carried a PM9 for a few years now, and really like it. Great size, very good trigger pull, accurrate, and I have never had a hiccup with the gun.
To answer your question directly, I liked the PM9 so much, I just bought the P380 a couple of months ago. It's also a very nice gun, and in my opinion, the best choice for a pocket .380. I've got the Ruger LCP, and I like that gun, but the Kahr has a much better trigger and sights, seems like better overall quality, and it's actually the same size/a little smaller than the LCP. So far, I have not had any feed/ejection issues with the .380, it's been 100% reliable...
The P380 is a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. To me, it's a buy it once and be happy decision, compared to getting the LCP or KelTec. Unfortunately, when I bought my LCP, Kahr had not come out with the P380 yet... Just my .02 cents, I hope it helps.

I recommend them highly. I have had several of them over
the years in all calibers except the new 380. The trigger pull
is very good and is the same from gun to gun. I have not had
a FTF or FTE on any of the guns I have owned. For me the
45 ACP is to much for such a small gun. The CW9 is the only
one I have at the present. Don

Kahr
I bought a PM40 last year. I really like it, but wouldn't want to shoot it all day. A 14 oz .40 S@W gets your attention. It conceals very well although I was surprised to learn the slide is almost as thick as my Glock 27. The grip is considerably thinner however. I'd like to get the bigger P40 someday.

I like what I've read about the new Kahr 380 pistol. I've shot some in 9mm and 40S&W and found them to be well made, accurate, and reliable. The little Kahr does cost a bit more than some of the other pocket 380s, but I think it is worth the extra cost. I plan to buy one.

I have a Kahr K9, the original, with a very strong recoil spring. Rated for 9mm +P, whatever that is. It's a good gun, and it works well, but to my hypercritical mind, it has three problems. First, the trigger, while significantly better than a Glock, is not as good as I'm used to with a DA S&W. As a matter of fact, I prefer even a Colt revolver to the Kahr for trigger pull. Second, I don't really trust the gun unless it's in a holster. Maybe I don't know enough about it. Anyway, that's how it is right now. I don't like 1911's, either, unless they are Series 80 Colts or Para Ords. Third, the strong recoil spring, while surely calculated correctly, is a bit difficult in malfunction drills. I cannot reliably (or even often) chamber a round by pulling the slide to the rear. Rather, I drop a locked-back slide. This could probably be fixed by using a lighter recoil spring (which is probably stock now), but why do that and have to start over with reliability testing? I have a LOT of good guns that work all the time. I really don't need another. I'll probably sell the gun if I can get a decent price for it and its holster and wooden grips and extra mags.
On the positive side, it DOES work, it's accurate, the trigger is better than other guns OF ITS TYPE, and the grips (both stock and wooden factory-sponsored Hogue) fit my hand very well.

I have a K9, great gun no complaints here. I have ran about 250 rounds through it with zero problems. Accurate no frills quality made carry gun that will work when needed. A little pricey imo, but what isn't anymore.

I have a Kahr K9 Elite 98 that I picked up used for $525. It has the matte black finish and had zero wear on it when I bought the gun, so I suspect the previous owner didn't make it through the 200 break-in period with it. It also has Trijicon night-sights, which are nice.
Fit and finish leaves a little bit to be desired, there are tool marks on the frame above the trigger and in the cocking serrations, and the 8-round extended magazines tend to let rounds pop out if not carried in a mag carrier of some sort, so I stick with the 7 rounders for carry. The trigger took a little getting used to, the pull is long, smooth, and light.
In an IWB holster it disappears and the weight is not an issue, the gun fits my hand very well, is accurate and reliable and I have never had to use the slide release to chamber a round. When my back is bothering me I usually carry this gun, a 1911PD, or a second j-frame. Overall, I'm happy with the gun, but I feel that the price they want for them new is a bit high. JMO, YMMV.
