Can anyone compare the grip size of the Crimson Trace LG-314 (round butt, N-frame) to the factory N-frame grips on the Nightguard series?
It seems that my little finger is a bit shorter than average. With medium to large frame revolvers that have the classic grip that flares out at the bottom, my hand gets short right where the grip gets wide. Thus, I wind up with a two finger grip, as my little finger can't quite reach the front of the grip and thus contributes nothing toward actually hanging on to the gun. Short of having my fingers surgically lengthened, it seems that my best alternative is to select grips that have a smaller, rounded butt contour. The factory Nightguard (Pachmeyer?) grips fit my hand, but most of the square butt N-frame grips I've tried don't.
However, Crimson Trace doesn't currently make a true round butt grip for N-frames. The LG-314 is described in catalogs as compact and suitable for CCW. But I live in a small town and it's not easy finding one to try out in person. Does the LG-314 flare out at the bottom, or is it fairly flat at the bottom?
Thanks
