If they have a similar design to the Umarex/Colt M4 then I'm not the least bit interested.

I like the way it looks besides the butt-stock, they said its made by Walther in Germany. . .be interesting to see what it looks like on the inside. I wonder if its like the M&P (like an AR) or like the Umarex/colt.

Umarex is the Importer into the United States, the Manufacturer is Walther AG.

it will be interesting to see how it cycles ammo, having the HK name on it and all. the way I see it, based on company reputation, i would expect an HK to be the most reliable of all (just about).. too bad walther is involved. well see what happens I guess. But.. I could see myself owning one. (assuming its NOT umarex based)

This is a problem with the Colt M4 .22s. Umarex makes them and Colt slaps their name on the gun. Fail.

i'll tell you what, it's a great looking rifle, much better than the 15-22.
the issue i have is with it being all metal. they state that as a high point but the colt doesn't feel all that sturdy, not for $500 anyway. if we should have learned anything by now, polymer is damn tough stuff. it's kind of nice that the 15-22 is polymer so when i'm done hanging ornaments on it i can still lift it.

I like it too, don't get me wrong I love my 15-22, but i think the "HK" looks good! I ike the magazine even though its only holds 20 rds. I never liked the Colt!

That looks great too, don't it? And it's all metal.. And it's an Airsoft gun..
That's essentially what the Walther/Umarex guns are, an air soft shell with a 22 action.. The Forward Assist is Fake and so is the Bolt Catch just like on an Airsoft gun.
I have no beef with plastic... Four of my cars were plastic and they went like stink lit on fire...
I want a gun with a functional bolt catch not a bolt catch for "decorations sake" if I want fake parts I will play with my Airsoft gun!
*you may notice the trigger and bolt catch is missing in that photo, but that doesn't change the point I am getting at.. those parts are removed because I was working on it*

Walther manufacturer. Umarex Imports. Colt name.
One thing that is cool about the Walumalt is that the bolt speed is adjustable so all kinds of ammo will cycle. I have never shot one but I like the concept.

Well I think if we could just keep our Ejectors in place we'd be ok
I'd love to see the Walther M4 bolt out of the gun and see a build spec and weight spec comparison.

Not exactly. More like Umarex licenses the name from colt. Colt has very little to do with the rifle (if anything). This is also the case for the HK clones that they are making.

To me something just doesn't look right about it. I think it's the grip being to straight up and down. Like it should be kicked back more. I don't know just my thought. I just think the S&W looks better.

No. I don't think its available until June. . .and MSRP is around $575 so it will probably sell for about the same price as the 15-22 (in the $400's).

i emailed umarex and asked if the new HK416 rimfire would use stock AR parts or the proprietary junk in the Colt rimfire and as expected, it'll be a ****** Colt with HK badging and a nonfunctional bolt release.
if smith can figure out the magazine issue (if that's what causing a lot of these problems) they have by far the best .22lr AR platform around.
